Should I stop giving my daughter dairy ice cream and cheese and go for the vegan ice cream and cheese!?

But no, milk is for babies!. Our body's ability to digest milk (through the use of enzymes) lasts until we are about five years old, at the very most!. After that, our body's are ill equipped to deal with the sugars!. also, the way that milk is processed is dangerous (breaks down the molecular structure into way-too-small molecules) and the treatment of the animals responsible is abhorrent!.

I'm a vegan and am completely healthy!. Because your infant is so young, refrain from feeding her soy milk/soy ice cream/ any kind of soy based products, it's fine in small amounts but too much soy can be harmful to her!. Try for Rice Dream ice cream, it's delicious!. You can try Rice cheese too, but it's not necessarily vegan because it has casein in it!. But it's still much better for you!. Seafood is very good for you, I don't eat it because it repulses me, but it does give very good health benefits!.
In terms of milk replacements, try oat milk, hemp milk, rice milk, almond milk, and see which one works out best!. Good luck =)

also, to all you people that think milk is NOT filth!. Look up this stuff before you go and say that okay!? First off, because of the pasteurization, our body can barely even absorb the calcium in milk, that's why osteoporosis is so common in dairy consumers, because they rely on milk for all their calcium, and not vegans, who look for calcium in natural sources, not a cows utter!. Milk also has cholesterol and fat, which our body can do without, especially cholesterol for a young child!. Milk IS filth, ask a nutritionist, not the media!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Milk has been part of human diet since the dawn of man!.!.!.however, this is NATURAL milk that we're talking about, not the junk that's pulled out of stressed-out, hormone-laden cattle that comes with antibiotics and pus!. You can always go natural!.

As for seafood, there are various reasons to avoid shellfish (most notably if you have an allergy, but they are also high in cholesterol and can carry parasites), but WILD CAUGHT fish are fine!.

I would give her soy ice cream as a treat!. Both So Delicious/Purely Decadent and Temptation make great vegan ice creams!. So Delicious also makes vegan yogurts, as does Whole Soy & Company!. Most vegan cheeses aren't appealing to me, but she might get to like them!.

And for drinking, I recommend Silk, as it tastes best!. But do keep in mind many soy milks have added sugar!. If that's a concern, buy unsweetened and maybe add chocolate syrup!.

Since I'm vegan, I can't help you much on the seafood issue!. But you do want to watch for mercury and other industrial contaminants!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

rice dream has little to no nutrients go to goats milk if you can find it you can also find cheese and ice cream it seems weird but the human body breaks it down much easier a lot of people that think they are lactose intolerant try goats milk and as it turns out it was something else that bothered them!. Goats aren't an abused animal I have no issue with getting organic goats milk!.

There are several dairy-free ice creams/treats out there!. I really like the coconut milk ones!. They are amazing!. Coconut milk makes an incredible yogurt too!. Lots of great alternative milks too but it's hard to beat water as a refreshing drink!.

Organic Valley Soy Milks are simply amazing (the chocolate can be heated up to serve as a lovely hot cocoa -- or mix the regular or vanilla with your own fair trade powder) as they use the whole bean and source in country but they can be hard to get compared to the huge corporate Silk (which sources from China and South America) so bug your store to carry OV in addition or instead!.

There's also lots of alternative cheeses and even cream cheese and sour cream but best to just find recipes that don't need any of those!. The more you try the more you find!. Dairy cheese is very high fat and it's an animal fat!.

I'd say no on the seafood!. It's full of mercury and PCBs which cause a lack of brain development and thyroid issues among many other problems along with overfishing causing a near-collapse of fisheries around the world!. Fish farms are very harmful on the whole!.

Cows milk is perfectly fine, as it's pasteurized and cooked at high temperatures to kill the bacteria before it is bottled and shelved!.
