Answers:
You need carbs!. In either case, no matter WHAT you eat, your body is forced to break it down into glucose to feed your brain and other parts of you!.

Look up "ketosis", that's what is happening to your body if you're eliminating carbs and stocking up on animal products!.

To avoid a crash, eat a balanced diet!. Have proteins, carbs AND fats in your meal!.

By the way, meat can also cause your blood sugar to spike, and in the long run, a meat-intensive diet is a really poor choice!. Your body is young and might be utilizing a state of ketosis and turning it into what you perceive to be a healthy, good-looking state!. Inside, though, your body is in haywire!. Your cholesterol levels probably already are, or soon will be, on the rise!. Your blood pressure is going to increase!.

If a human being consumes a diet high in animal products and low in plants, it pretty much guarantees heart disease, including deposits in your arteries, aneurysms, bulging artery walls (which can burst), poor circulation, eventual diabetes, lifelong metabolic and GI tract problems and eventually problems with supplying energy to your body!. Since your brain needs a steady supply of blood and glucose to survive, you need to eat plant foods (especially high fiber foods) to help maintain your blood sugar levels and to help keep your circulatory system healthy!.

You need to choose whole grain options!. They are high in fiber and protein and are much easier on your blood sugar levels!.

Replace meat at a few meals with beans and legumes!. Add fats like avocado and nuts in the place of oils and butter!.

You can be healthy and eat meat, but you are eating way too much of it, and way too little plant-sourced food!.

Whenever you see your plate, cut it in half mentally and load half of it with vegetables of all sorts - sliced tomatoes, steamed veggies, salads (go REALLY easy on dressing, you are pretty much taking something healthy and coating it with fat!.!.!.)!.

A quarter of your plate should be a protein source!. If you are not concerned with ethical and moral implications of eating meat (which I'm assuming you are not, judging by your year-long diet) you can use meat, just focus on fish and chicken!. Pork and beef are constantly being connected to one disease or another, in fact I recently read an article from the ADA that pretty much stated that there is no good reason to eat pork, that it's effects on the body are absolutely disastrous!. I'm going to try to find it again!.!.!.

The other quarter of your plate should be a high-fiber whole grain!. Use buckwheat, whole grain bread, maybe sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes, whole grain pasta, etc!.

Try to mix up your protein sources, though - beans, tofu, seitan and tempeh will not make you crash and won't make you fat!.

well i have been vegan for 5 years now!. which is NOTHING from an animal!. being vegetarian is better because you get heaps of nutrients and protein, you get lower cholesterol and lower blood pressure, and everything i eat is loaded with vitamins!. cutting out meat has made my skin heaps better, your body digests the food normally if you plan a decent vegetarian diet!.
and as for your body, vegetarians tend to have lower BMI's, but with all the energy you will have, working out would be no problem!.
i would highly recommend having a vegetarian diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Any doctor would tell you that rather than eat nothing but meat, an all carb diet would be preferable!.
The bottom line is-not all carbohydrates are the same!. You must avoid highly processed grain products and refined sugar, but beans and legumes, whole grains, fruits and veggies are vital to a healthy diet, as you found out!. Hopefully you did not permanently damage your kidneys (yes, it can happen)!. As previously suggested, eat a healthy balanced diet and stay active if you want to be fit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Too many carbs aren't good for you - and the problem with carbs is that it's easy to overeat on them, especially yummy stuff like chips, sugars, rice and pasta (or at least, it is for me!)!.

But really, who overeats on carbs like carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, berries, or apples!?

And there is quite a bit of evidence that animal proteins cause heart problems!. So, what I'd say is - if you have difficulty controlling your carbs, try to eat a higher fat, lower carb vegetarian diet - lots of fresh and cooked veggies in sauces, lots of tofu/beans/seitan, and tons of fresh fruit, dairy, and cheese!. you're eating the wrong carbs!. you need to eat more veggies, less refined pastas and rices and breads!. eat fruits, nuts, good stuff and you won't get fat and you'll have more energy!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Say NO to the Atkins diet

Say YES to a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains, and small amounts of organic low-fat dairy and grass-fed meats!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You need carbs for healthy brain function!. Just eat a balanced diet and exercise and you will be healthy!. Fad diets don't work!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
