Answers:
I am a former chef and I have had 100's and none are of animal base, nor are there a "raw" type, they are made from a pepper, crushed and salt is added to extract the juices and volatile flavours, then they are mixed with vinegar to preserve them, some may have xanthan gum a tree resin to keep it from separating, some may have other veg, like carrots, tomatoes or garlic and onions, but pure sauces like Tabasco and other Louisiana style ones are quite simply peppers, salt and vinegar, that is why when you go to the grocery store sometime the vinegar has risen to the top!.

Otherwise as some one said soak the dried peppers or chili flakes in vinegar with a bit of salt, buzz them in a blender and then strain out the bits, or a coffee filter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would think it should be!. Check the label!. I'm sure it should be though!. Cayenne pepper, vinegar, salt, garlic and some other seasonings!. But double check the label!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make you own raw hot sauce by putting some dried hot peppers in a blender with some vinegar salt and dry garlic!. Buzz and let sit for at least a day!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some have honey but almost all are vegan!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is vegan (just peppers and spices), but not raw!. I don't know of a raw hot sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
