Vegans or more strict vegetarians have you ever gone grocery shopping......?!
for your non vegetarian friend, or family member!? If so did you supply that person with dairy, or meat of any sort!. I once had a vegan friend help me buy groceries (was broke and out of food) and she buying for me not herself bought things like margine, cream of mushroom soup and milk!. I mean I am just curious!.

When I have shopped for others, I took them with me and asked their opinion!.!. If one were to receive food from a charity group, like Pathfinders then you use what you can and pass it on to someonelse who is also in need and can use the items you do not use!.!.I worked at a truck dealer years ago when they gave us hams for christmas!.!. at first I did not want it, as we could not use it, but then decided to give it to another fellow worker who knew of a needy family near his mom's house!.!. the result!?!? I'm vegetarian and have also wondered this!. Personally no body's asked me yet to go pick up any meat or products that contain meat!.
In the case that they did ask me I would most likely decline or at least try to change their minds!. Raw meat is the worse, the smell is horrible to me so even if I agreed I don't think I'd make it out without throwing up!. So usually when I want to cook for my family, which all eat meat regularly, I will cook a vegetarian dish, nothing containing anything deriving from an animal, and they do enjoy it regardless!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A few winters ago, my mom was really sick!. She couldn't cook and asked me to fix her (and my dad and sister) something that would last them a while!.
I decided upon a tuna casserole b/c they all love it and could eat off of it until her severe flu was over!. I was a vegetarian at the time, but I took one for the team!. I bought the ingredients and prepared the meal and then delivered it!.
Just because I don't eat a certain way doesn't mean that I have to prevent others from eating the way they want to!. If the shoe was on the other foot, I'd certainly appreciate it if they made food that I loved!.
::EDIT:: Oooooo!. I scrolled through others' answers!. It was rather easy for me to pick up a few cans of tuna!. I think I chose the casserole on purpose!. I don't think I could have marched up to the meat case and chosen something for them to eat!. I get physically ill when I look at that!. I think my second option would have been a pre-cooked rotisserie chicken!. At least that's not raw!. :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

No I never give gifts that are non-vegan but my friends always love what I give them!. I have friends over every other Friday for dinner and a movie and I always cook vegan food!. My friends aren't vegan but they love my cooking anyway and barely notice that there is no meat or dairy in it!. I personally believe that if I love my friends, I'll care about what they put into their bodies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's my personal opinion that being vegetarian is something I've decided for myself!. It's not my job to push my lifestyle on anyone else (though I do think it's my job to make my food look and taste as yummy as possible when I invite people over to eat) So yes, if I'm shopping for someone else and they ask me to buy something that I wouldn't eat i do it!. For example I'll run to the store or Taco Bell for lunch and I'll get what ever I want and food for my dad, even though he wants beef tacos or yogurt with gelatin in it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yeah, I've taken dates out to dinner and paid for their shrimp scampi or sweet and sour chicken!. I've picked up meat for my roommate - but I warn her that I don't know a "good" cut from a "bad" cut, it's all disgusting to me!.

If I had a meat-eating friend who ran out of money and asked me to buy them food!.!.!.I'd probably ask them if they could ask someone else to buy them their meat/dairy/etc, but I'd be happy to buy them the other things they want!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
yep, i pick up meat etc for my boyfriend!. he picks up vegan cakes and veggie hot dogs for me, so why not!?
