I do not think they would stop murdering animals simply because they could speak Human!. The human species are too ignorant and selfish to think of such a moral thing!.

I read a couple of the papers on Alex (if I remember, he was an African Grey Parrot), and he's definitely a standout case!. His researcher didn't, at first, actively teach him; he acquired language through the people chatting around him - and unlike most parrots, he can reason at a very basic level, and expresses his desires (though seems to have difficulty understanding emotions)!. I think she anticipated his reasoning skills at around age 4 or 5 in human years!.
But then, the results from Alex haven't yet been reproduced!.
If people saw human characteristics in animals, like speaking, I really doubt most people would eat them, but I'm sure some would!. Most people don't eat dogs because they see some 'special bond' there - even though some breeds of dogs were domesticated as food!. People generally don't eat baby seals anymore, because they look too cute, like babies, even though the meat is plentiful and sustainable!. People generally don't roast up monkeys or gorillas - my father saw a hungry traveler do it in Africa, and nearly vomited, thinking it looked like a roasted baby!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes and a cow who talks like Shakespeare would probably cost more!. Exotic language speaking animals would be like a come on for restaurants!.

I think the people who have to kill cows wouldn't!.!. i mean its easier to bring yourself to eat a steak that doesn't look like a cow, when you can take the thought that it was once a cow out of your mind, and you do not have to kill a cow!. But if a farmer walked into his cow farm and all the cows that were locked in pens to be slaughtered later started saying "please don't kill me", omg i just don't know how you could!

I don't think many people would eat a parrot, because they can speak!. Most animals have at least the intelligence of a small child!. People look in horror at anyone who eats dog meat, but pigs are just as intelligent as dogs!.

Absolutely not!. That is exactly why people in America don't eat dogs!.!.!. not because they talk, but because humans interact with dogs and dogs respond to them!. Pigs are smarter than dogs and I have met my fair share or loving cows!. They are mass produced so people think they are dumb, but in reality people just don't give them the chance to be smart and reactive like they do dogs!.

there are a lot of "what ifs" in the world but the reality is they cant talk except in cartoons and movies or some well placed peanut butter in a horses mouth!.i have been around cattle for all of my life and i can tell you they only think of one thing for most of the day and that is "food" and sometimes they have an itch but it is mostly where is the food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
