Has anyone tried vegan dulce de leche using soymilk?!
I have this Brazilian recipe for dulce de leche that I am thinking about trying with soymilk, but I'm not sure how it will turn out!.
4 cups milk (will use soy milk)
1 cup sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
Pour milk, sugar and cornstarch in a non-stick saucepan and cook it over low heat, stirring fairly constantly for about 45 minutes or until the milk achieves the consistency you want!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can't really make dulce de leche with soy milk!. Dulce de leche is made by condensing the natural sugars in milk down by boiling to the consistency of caramel!. Since soy contains none of those sugars, you will be making something else, probably a form of caramel!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
That's just cornflour sauce!. We used to have that on our Christmas pudding when I was a kid in the 1950'sWww@FoodAQ@Com
