Question: Vegetarian for teeens!. please help me!.!?
heyy, im 13 and ive been a vegetarian for about a week or 2!. i saw a video, and i think its cruel!. i really wanna stay vegetarian, but im such a picky eater, i keep getting sick from like lack of protein!. i really really wanna just be a vegetarian for everything but chicken, because there sooooo over populated but i dont even know!. im suchhh a picky eater, and my favorite food was buffilo chicken!. ughh this is really hard, and i hear if u dont eat meat for a while than eat it you get really sick

First of all eating chicken does make you not a true vegetarian but I understand how it is easier to explain it in that way!. I want to let you know that many of those sites that promote vegetarianism are biased!. Don't think that I am against vegetarianism because I am not I am a vegetarian myself, but I want you to know that you should try to find an unbiased site if you want the real facts!. also about getting sick, you probably are ot getting all the nutrients you need!. Talk to a parent to help you figure out what your body needs!. also talk to your doctor, he/she might give you vitamins to make you get the nutrients you need!. About being a picky eater have a parent take you to a grocery store, if you have a super wal-mart near you that would be great!. Look for meat substitutes, boca and morning star make just about anything you can imagine!. They have things that nearly everybody likes such as meatless chicken nuggets and corn dogs!. also there are things such as peanut butter and jelly or spagetti and marinaria sauce that are easy to make and totally meatless!. Once again talk to a parent to help you plan some simple meals and find vegetarian dishes that you like!. The first week or so will be tough and will take some extra planning but you will get the hang of it and it eventually won't take any effort at all!. About not eating meat and getting sick if you do, I don't think that is true!. After about 3 or 4 months of being vegetarian I accidently ate a pepporoni and I didn't get sick!. But I really don't know if you eat a lot of meat if you would get sick or not!. But right now don't worry, a week or two won't make you sick if you decide to start eating meat again!. Well if you eat chicken i don't think that makes you a vegetarian lol but just go with your choice, if you want to be a Vegetarian then be it, There's heaps of foods you can have like Salads,Cheese,Seafood,Spaghetti,Potatoes!.!.!. just have anything that doesn't contain meat and go crazy with the ingredients, no one said being a Vegetarian was easy!.
Try handling it for 1-2 months and see how it goes, if you can't handle it then it's best you don't be a vegetarian and just stick to chicken etc!.!.!.
I don't think you really get sick if you don't eat meat for a while it depends on the person but if it's for a long time then probably you will for the first time!.

I think you should eat meat or not eat meat!. Not: I am a vegetarian, but I do eat chicken cause they are overpopulated!. Cause if you are a true vegetarian you think eating chickens is also cruel!. Why would killing a pig be more cruel then killing a chicken!?

Anyway I think it's good that you are a vegetarian and I hope you can stay it!. People should fight for their ideals, even if it's hard sometimes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well first you have to be willing to try new things!. I used to be a picky eater too!. There are plenty of alternatives to meat!. You can get protein from peanut butter, beans, and things that are made specifically for Vegetarians!. You can try looking for recipes on recipezaar!.com!. They have lots of vegetarian recipes!. well eating chicken is being a pollotarian!. so its not technically vegetarian!. you shouldnt be loosing that much protein!. you got to make sure you eat enough substatutes!. i would say give up ALL meats!. if you really wanna help animals dont eat chicken anymore!. if you crave chicken, just ask your parents to buy fake chicken!.
and if your serious, buy tofu, tempeh, soy products, and lentils!. i do hope that you stay vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i don't think that is true about getting sick if you don't eat meat because my teacher is a vegetarian and has been one for like20 years or something!. and let me tell you something funny!. someone put a meat ball on her desk because shes mean!. i no not the best time for a joke but i thought it was quite funny!. hahahaaha!. but its good that you are a vegetarian!. just take protein pills!. or eat broccoli!. that is PACKED with protein Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your 13, you don't have very many resources!. If you just decide to not eat any red meat, then you'll be a Pollotarian!. Pollotarians just eat birds, within the meat look!.
