Answers:
Have you kept track of how many grams of protein you get in a typical day!? You can use a diet tracker like www!.thedailyplate!.com and it will calculate your daily protein needs, as long as you log all of your exercise and such!.

Make sure you eat whole grains - they're very high in protein; also try to eat higher-protein veg, like broccoli, brussels sprouts, asparagus, mushrooms, spinach, and tomatoes!. Eat a cup or two of beans, lentils, or chickpeas each day, or eat a cup of tofu or seitan!. Have a half-cup of seeds or nuts!.

One half-cup of tofu gives 10 grams of protein!. Eat it with 2 large slices of wholegrain bread (8 g) and a serving of tomato, and you're up to 20 grams of protein in total!. Have a glass of milk (5 g) and a spinach salad (3 g), and you're up to 28 grams of protein!. Add a hard boiled egg to your morning routine, and you add 6 grams of protein!.

The average woman only needs around 50 grams of protein, so you'd probably need to aim between 65 and 95 grams a day, depending on your weight!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The biggest problem I have seen with the videos on PETA and other pro-vegan lifestyle sites is that they choose the worst cases to post!.
If you really can't bring yourself to eat meat again, try fish!. And there's protein bars out there, or use your protein powder in casseroles as a thickener!.
But honestly, PETA is wrong about a lot of slaughter houses!. Try a local butcher shop!. At least there you know that the animals are treated more humanely and some allow the animal to die of natural causes before they ever butcher them!. (By natural causes, I mean old age) the meat may be a little tougher, but it will definitely be easier on your conscious than trying to buy commerical products!.
Psychologically, you can separate yourself from the fact that it's an animal by calling it a product and not the animal which is why the meat is renamed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here are some good meatless snacks that are high in protein
soynuts (the name makes them sound weird but they are really good)
soymilk (has as more protein than regular milk and it is better for you and silk brand comes in tons of awesome flavors)
Peanut butter is full of protein
Almond butter, it is like peanut butter but it is made of almonds (obviously) Its great on toast, crackers, or whatever and it has less starch than peanut butter
If you try these and are still not getting enough protein talk to your doctor about vitamins you could take to make sure you get everything you need in your diet
also if you are looking for good simple vegetarian snacks try the magazine vegetarian times!. I love it and you might too!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Beans!. Kidney beans, chickpeas, lentils, black beans, cannellini, bean soup, bean dip, beans in green salad, beans in chili (made with Morningstar Crumbles), lima beans, black-eyed peas!. You get the idea!.

also, there are all these great meat analogs out there, like the afore-mentioned Morningstar Crumbles!. Check out the options in your gigantic supermarket or local health food store!. Look for Loma Linda items, Boca, Yves, Amy's, Field Roast!. There are cold cuts, burgers, buffalo wings, nuggets, even a good fake salmon!. If you've seen a PETA video, check out their website for some good places to shop!. Stick with it; it's great being vegetarian!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree that beans are great, try 16 bean soup its really good, hummuseas have almost all the amino acids you need, lentil soup is awesome! If you feel full of gas that is normal, that means your body need to adjust!. Bananas are high in protein and fructose etc!.!.!.

I was vegetarian for some years and now I eat fish, chicken and turkey, please dont take any "vitamins" or any kind of pills, that is not good for you those are sintetic things, make sure you have fresh food not the one from a can!.

Eat natural peanut butter! it is probably one of the most concentrated sources of protein!. Just two tablespoons contains 7 grams of protein, more than one egg or even a cut of lean chicken! also consume lots of raw almonds, seeds, and other nuts throughout the day when your hungry!. Some organic milk in the mornings is good too,!.

But still you can't focus everything you eat on protein, and honestly, did the doctor actually say you had a protein deficiency!? NO, he most likely didn't so how do you know your deficient! You need to consume fruits and veggies to you know!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well as long as you are eating a variety of vegetables then you should get enough protein!. I also think they make this Muscle Milk stuff!. Its a protein milk shake!. The smell of it grosses me out though!.
Otherwise try a multivitamin!.

I was vegetarian for 7 yrs w/o even trying to eat healthy really and am now vegan!. after a blood test my protein is still perfect!.

so how do you know that you are low in protein!?!?

there is no need for you to eat meat, but if you want to then do it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, mix it up then! Eat more beans, legumes, and nuts, and you can still eat eggs adn dairy, so eat fat free yogurt and eggs!. I agree with you, tofu gets old after awhile!. You could try eating more soy products (mock meats), just not too much, because they contain a lot of sodium!. And eat more whole grains (oatmeal, whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, anything "whole") and dark leafy vegetables like spinach and broccoli!. Good luck! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

A human baby is needing the most protein because it's growing so fast!.
Human breast milk is 4% protein!. Orange juice is 8%!. Rice is 11%!.
Beans, peas and lentils are 24%!.
You cannot get protein deficient on a vegan diet if you tried!.
You can cause serious health problems with too much protein!.

Raw nuts and seeds, and sprouts from organic raw/dehydrated beans and seeds provide alternative protein sources -- Ideally, you should eat your sprouts raw!.
People who eat cooked food also use tofu as a protein substitute!.
Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eggs, beans and nuts are all rich in protein!.

Www@FoodAQ@Com

OMG! SAME WITH ME! I agree with what everyone else suggested, and I'm going to start taking protein pills!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you've had enough of protein shakes and tofu, try:

1!. Nuts/seeds

- A handful (or more) of nuts or seeds packs protein and energy!. Pumpkin seeds (29 g protein/100g) are particularly protein-rich; sunflower (24/100g), pistachios (19/100g), cashews (17!.2/100g) and almonds (16!.9/100g) are also excellent choices!.

Snack on bars made only from nuts, seeds, and dried fruit (find these in health food stores) or smear bread with nut butters to up your protein intake!. Along with peanut butter, many health food stores also carry butters made from other nuts or seeds!. Try using sprouted grain breads, like Ezekiel Bread, for even more protein!.

2!. Beans, peas, lentils, legumes

- Rather than overdoing tofu and other soy products, try other protein sources like Daal, chickpea curry, hummus, falafel, burritos, and bean stews!. If you aren't wheat-sensitive, seitan is also a tasty, high-protein choice!. You can find recipes for all of these dishes online!. www!.vegweb!.com is a good starting point!.

3!. Better Grains

- Quinoa (11g protein/half cup) can be used in place of rice and is high in protein!. It's convenient to use, as it cooks in 20 minutes or less!.

Barley, buckwheat, and Bulgar are also protein-rich grain options!.

I'm not sure what else to suggest, as I don't really know what else "all those other things" includes!.

You clearly have your own ethical reasons for not wanting to eat animals!. If this issue is really important to you, I'd strongly recommend doing some research into vegetarian and vegan nutrition so that you're properly equipped to follow this diet without sacrificing your health or becoming bored with your diet!.

Books like "The Vegetarian Sports Nutrition Guide" could offer you organized guidance, as well as inspire you with stories and suggestions from other athletes who succeeded on a vegetarian diet!. I also recommend "Becoming Vegan" for a good overview of nutrition needs on a plant-based diet, as well the history, ethics, and benefits of a vegan diet!. It's also got some recipes in there!.

Good luck!.

Since so many helpful respondents suggested eating fish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are a lot of alternatives with high protein!.!.!.

- Cheese
- Beans
- Peanut Butter
- Peanuts
- Cow Milk
- Soy Milk
- eggs (the egg whites in 1 egg contain 6g of protein and almost no fat at all, egg whites are probably the best source of protein!. The yolk contains all the fat but u could separate them!. Although eggs aren't exactly Vegetarian!.)

Why not eat fish!? They have a ton of protein and they aren't slaughtered like animals in slaughter houses!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

peta worships animals!. Don't listen to them!. God kill an animal to cover Adam and Eve!. In the Bible they ate animals!. If you don't wanna eat those kinds!. I know that they considered pigs unclean!. Eating meat is fine, it's part of life!. But if you don't want to eat it, I'm not forcing you!. You can always eat Peanut Butter!. It has tons of Protein!Www@FoodAQ@Com

try fish, eggs, peanuts!.!.!.!.start with those!. I heard peanuts help with the craving for meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Take amino acid concentrates and eat different types of fish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

eat meat!
Www@FoodAQ@Com

If God didn't want us to eat animals, then why are they made of meat!?

If a cow had a chance, it would eat you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
