Sweets, ingredients vegan?!

Question: Sweets, ingredients vegan!?
Glucose syrup, sugar, fruit juices, hydrogenated vegetable fat, acids (citric acid, malic acid), modified starch, natural flavourings, dextrin, maltodextrin, vitamin c, emulsifier (soya lecithin), colours (beta carotene, anthocyanins, chlorophyllin)!.

Above are the ingredients for some sweets!. They're labelled suitable for vegetarians!.

But would they be suitable for vegans too!? Are any of the ingredients not suitable for a vegan diet!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Those are rather common, and because they're for sweets, the "natural flavourings" aren't likely to be from animals (chicken is a common natural flavouring, but you won't see them in candies)!.

Vegans differ from vegetarians in that they don't eat milk, honey, or eggs, as you already know!. The good thing is that people have allergies to these items and they MUST be listed on the label under the allergen warning!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Everything at the above list is OK for veganism (although not always for your health) apart from gelatin, which comes from animal bones!. However, some forms of gelatin come from seaweed, and that is OK - and healthy!. Read the label carefully!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think they are ok for vegans!. because it means they are ok for vegetarians who eat no meat or byproducts whatsoever ( like vegans ) not lacto ovo vegetarians !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

gelatin is an ingredient sometimes found in candies!. it is NOT vegan!.!.!. it comes from animal tissue!.!.!. ick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Gelatin isn't listed in those ingredients!.

I believe those are all vegan friendly!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
