I went to a vegetarian nutrition and cooking class recently and found out that there are lots of foods with protein that you wouldn't expect!. In addition to the ones already mentioned you could also eat spinach, broccoli, kale, mushrooms, okra, tomatoes, corn, pumpkin, potatoes, sunflower seeds, oatmeal, cashews and brown rice!. I got my information from the book "The Vegetarian Solution"!. Good luck! Www@FoodAQ@Com

First, if you're allowing yourself to eat fish, you are a pescatarian, not a vegetarian!.

Your protein sources as a pescatarian on a limited budget that doesn't like tofu are: cans of tuna, eggs, powdered milk, bulk cheese, various legumes (beans) and grains!. If you can buy food in bulk and store it, this will be your best bet!.
