Why are do people choose to be Vegan?!

Question: Why are do people choose to be Vegan!?
If like some plants, an animal were to evolve that could not reproduce unless it were eaten by another animal, and actually felt pleasure at some part of it's anatomy being eaten when it was sexually mature, would you eat it!?
What about lab grown meat!?
Just curious!.
Why did Yahoo Answers try to file this under gay lebian and transgendered!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

A lot of questions here guy: you might want to separate them out a little!. People being vegan I don't suspect has a lot to do with your second question, and probably not your third either!.

For reference, I can't see any animal developing any time soon that has the kind of quality you describe, so it's a bit of a moot point right now!. But even if it did (and lab grown meat being still impossible at the moment for most people) the cruelty we know takes place on factory farms, the environmental cost, and the moral difficulties with eating the flesh of animals being killed are all important issues as to why someone might choose to be vegan!. All issues I hope you might want to investigate more!.

As to the Yahoo Answers question, I think it scans keywords in the question, and tries to suggest a category based on this, so something about this process I guess!.

Thanks for the question!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

People choose to be vegan for a wide variety of reasons!. Everything from Animal Rights and the evils of Factory Farms, from Environmental reasons and Economic Reasons, to Global Warming and one's personal health!. To a simple aesthetic preference!. There are those who are vegan for spiritual reasons, humanitarian reasons and for reasons of religious conviction as well as those who simply do not like the taste and texture of meat!.
And Witelo, that last sentence of yours doesn't even rate an 'Urban Legend' debunked! Shame on you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is a very weird question!.!.!. It goes back to the argument that some vegitarians/ vegans make that it is morally wrong to kill and eat other animals!. If the animal felt pleasure when being eaten, it still doesnt make it necessarily right!. I guess I'd still eat it, considering I eat meat!. Lab grown meat I would not eat; I just dont see chemicals as healthy!. And yahoo tried to file this question under gay and lesbian because of the "sexual" and "eat" part that you added!.!.!.it just sounds a little gay!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I went vegetarian for environmental reasons, vegan for ethical reasons (dairy farms supply the veal industry, and most egg producers use battery cages) and I would not eat lab grown meat (or meat that came from an animal who felt pleasure from being eaten- however THAT might work!.!.!.) because it would still be detrimental to my health!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bit of a wierd question to be honest, and i aint vegan or vegetarian lolWww@FoodAQ@Com
