Vegetarians, people concerned with animals.?!
i just want to see what people really think about vegetarians, and people concerned with animals and our enviroment!. i am one of those people and i dont want to diss on the people who dont care i just want to know why you think they dont help save our enviroment!. little changes could lead to bigger ones!. thank you all!. please respond!. I'm a vegetarian! I might go vegan someday, but for now, I'm a vegetarian! I agree, little steps go a long way when everybody takes them!. Its as easy as putting down that burger, and thinking about what your eating!. Do you know how cruel people have been to those animals!? Cramped, confined quarters and beatings!? Its not just a magazine article, its real!. Meat produces environmentally harmful methane gases, while vegetables produce little, or no emissions, especially when they are grown organic! I'm not a veggie to save the planet!. I'm a veggie because I hate the way that animals are treated, as simple commodities!. If I had no choice but to eat animals, I'd go kill one and eat it - but I do have plenty of choices so I really don't need want to rely on an unethical industry to provide me with a bit of cheap protein!.
I'm also concerned about the environment, but that's got nothing to do with what I choose to eat really, there's another whole list of reasons for that :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

NO offense but i believe that vegetarianism does very little to help animals!. If there were a huge outbreak of vegetarianism the laws of supply and demand would come into play and the price of meat would go down and people that otherwise couldnt afford meat would now buy it!. However I do believe that it can be a very healthy lifestyle if done correctly (take in all the proteins that your body needs to be healthy)!. I have no problem with vegetarians in fact I am in love with one and am friends with many!. I just cant see such a small (but growing) population having any real, measurable effect on such a huge industry!. But good luck,I love animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't like Vegetarians, they're a waste!. The Meat industry is the Dairy Industry!. People think "well I don't eat meat so I'm helping" but your still eating DAIRY and EGGS!. What!!?!!?!!?! Do you think Cows and Chickens are having the time of their damn life in these farms!? Seriously, I have to respect normal Meat Eaters more than Vegetarians!. A Vegetarian who still eats the lactated excretes and dead corpses of animals that were being tortured alive makes absolutely no sense to me!! I'm Vegan by the way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Vegetarianism and environmentalism don't necessarily go hand in hand!. A vegetarian is simply someone who does not eat meat period!. No other meaning implied or intended!. Many people who are involved in "ungreen" activities could be vegetarians too!.
At the same time, people who eat meat can be conservationists and environmentalists!. The more famous ones, the ones we see on TV all the time are mostly meat eaters!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it's naive to think that if everyone became vegetarians, magically the animals will be ok!.
It makes sense, but what about the buffalos that used to roam America!? They were eradicated simply because people wanted to colonize here!.
And none of those buffalos were used as a food source!.

I am a veggie as well! I personal don't down others for eating meat, because a lot of people think of it as the circle of life, but I choose to not participate because now a days we have more options to choose over meat!. For instance my family will be eating a ham or turkey for thanksgiving, instead of me just lecturing them all or going without, i will make my tofurkey!. haha, i highly doubt everyone on this planet will become vegetarian in anyones lifetime, but I do know the ones who are veggie are making a big statement!.
