Good for you! I became a vegetarian in July of this year =] && I've never felt better!

As you already said, make sure you eat plenty of nuts & lentils aka beans, they are very good for you!.

Here's a sample of my daily diet (combine for 2 days)

Breakfast:
Oatmeal w/fresh berries or Pancakes w/strawberries

Snack: Apples with peanut butter (yummy!) Or Fruit Salad

Lunch: Peanut butter banana sandwiches (num!) with tangerines, or Veggie Salad w/ Italian dressing (no salad, just broccoli, cucumbers, tomatoes, cauliflower, carrots) with (unshelled) sunflower seeds ontop!.

Snack: Fruit Smoothie! (almost every day!)

Dinner: Stuffed Bell peppers (stuff with tomato sauce, faux ground meat, & garlic) with steamed veggies!. Or Tofu stir fry!!!

Dessert: cookies with rice milk =]

Its pretty easy to adapt, maybe even 7-10 days before you're completely comfortable with everything!. I can't believe I didn't do it sooner! After about 5 days I didn't even realize I wasn't eating meat =]
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Haha, hey, being a non-vegetarian can still be a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle, but lets save that for another discussion!.!.
For breakfast you can have cereal, milk, fruits, and perhaps toast with peanut butter (natural PB)!.
Lunch can consist of anything from sandwiches to tofu, to vegetables such as salads (creatively made with variety of veggies), tuna (if in fact you eat fish, they are a GREAT source of protein, some vegetarians eat fish, I don't know if you do)!.
Dinner!? Look up some vegetarian recipes on google, it's hard to list tons of stuff on here! Just get the proteins that you are missing from meat and you'll be all set!!!
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pretty cool choice!.!.!.I'm also a vegetarian!.
For breakfast I usually eat some cereal!. I'm not vegan or anything, so I use regular milk!. My cereal of choice right now is Honey Bunches of Oats, but it changes!.
Lunch depends!. If it's a school day I use our school's sub sandwich bar and get a sandwich with cheese, lettuce, and onions, plus some raw veggies and milk!. If not,!.!.it's usually a sandwich anyway, now that I think about it!. Peanut butter and honey is delicious!. Left overs make great lunches too, as does soup!.
Dinner is usually some form of pasta or just a vegetarian version of what the family is eating!. If they have burritos, I have veggie burritos, if they have pizza, I have a cheese or vegetable pizza!.

I suggest to try and get most of your protein naturally!. Too much soy is said to be unhealthy!. If you can find a multivitamin that doesn't have gelatin or fish in it, you'll be doing fantastically!.

Good luck, it gets difficult sometimes, but I'm sure you can do it!.

(I also suggest not being one of the "Now that I'm vegetarian I'm going to force my beliefs on everyone" vegetarians!.!.!.they give us a bad name lol)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've been a vegetarian for a year, and I just have to say, Good Luck!

1-Check out your local shops and see what options they have for vegetarians (being a veg is sooo much easier in big cities)

2-Make sure and get lots of protein and iron from your meals and be sure and get some good vitamins or some specailly made for vegetarians!.

3-If they sell them there, Smart strips and Morningstar fake chicken patties are really good!.

4- I wouldnt say you really need to drink soy milk unless your going vegan!. If you are, then, be SURE AND GET LOTS OF VITAMIN B! I just have to stress this!. It's very important!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

breakfast: cocopuffs with milk!. 1 apple, 1 red plum, 1 stawberry cereal bar :)

hmm you could buy green vege!. like flowers, cabbage, tindura, indian eggplants, and potatoes!. My mom makes others also but i like those!.

and sometime go eat subway with veggie patty!.

or taco bell and say no meat with beans!. (not in quesedia tho :P)

McDonold hmm useless cheeseburger is only buns with cheese!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Breakfast- a good cereal with lots of fibre,or toast with peanut butter or vegemite(maybe you don't eat that but anyway)

Lunch- salad wrap with hallumi cheese and salsa,or just some noodles

Dinner-vegies with baked tomato,or potatoe, soy sausage!. Or stirfry'ed vegies with tofu!.

snacks-fruit,tea,coffee :SWww@FoodAQ@Com

Dinner: Boca fake chicken pattie burger with baked potato
Snack: PopcornWww@FoodAQ@Com

omg! ive been vegetarien for over a year now, and its pretty easy!. take B-12 at least once a week!. read labels because sometimes food companies slip meat in!. i eat alot of rice and noodles!. just buy like little boxes of stuff like pasta salad or fried rice!. all you do is read the back of the box and follow the insructions! and people seem to think its fun to make fun of it, so just be ready to deal with a tiny bit of that! good lucks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

well i have a friend who is vegetarian and she has to check the labels on EVERYTHING she eats to make sure there is no meat!. she also eat peanut butter a lot so she can get her protein!. hope that helps! i wish i could turn vegetarian, but i love meat to much!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You do not need to worry about anything!. You can eat everything like a normal person!. All you need to do is buy the fake meats like the Boca burgers or Morning star products!. Substitute those for normal meat and you will be okay!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You need advise alright!. None of the reasons you stated for becoming a veg are valid!.

Speak to your doctor and a nutritionist before you change your diet too dramatically!.

Im not saying being a vegi dose not have its benefits but your reasoning is flawed!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Morning star is completely vegetarian and all it's food is really good!!!
Www@FoodAQ@Com

yay !!!!!!!!! go veggie um take vitamins everydayy very important and fatty foods as well Www@FoodAQ@Com
