They were considering passing a law!? I think maybe they did here (Uk) not sure though!. They did lots of tests and found out that lobsters could feel pain (duh!) and so they shouldn't be boiled alive!?!?
Hope this helps :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, yes there are laws protecting lobsters, but not from cooking methods!.
All arthropods must be cooked as soon as possible after killing them- generally the method of killing them is the cooking- or they don't taste right!. Dead arthropods decompose VERY quickly!. Catch a lobster, kill it, ship it to a market, sell it, cook it, and eat it = at worst, sickness!. Fish can be treated as previously described without harmful after-consumption effects; not so arthropods!.
Most molluscs are treated the same way!.
On the other hand, I'm pretty sure you don't want to learn too much about plant physiology, or we might be having the same kind of conversation about autotrophs!. That lettuce was alive when you ate it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In Maine, a maximum size law exists!. Any lobster with a greater than 5” carapace must be returned to the sea!. This law exists to protect the “breeders”!. Larger lobsters are capable of reproducing greater and healthier numbers of offspring and Maine lobster harvesters feel very strongly about protecting this brood stock!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
alot of chefs actually stabb right through the top of the middle shell first to eliminate some of the juices so in that case they are dead first!.!.!.!. also animals are mostley killed befor you eat them, if you want to get picky, Plants are ALIVE as well!.!.!. their seedling mate too, so are vegitarians murderers for eating them!?!!?!!.!.!.!.

No there aren't any laws protecting lobsters!. Because where you live lobsters are food and cats aren't!. The lobster dies instantly when it hits the boiling water and are normally chilled to the point where they can hardly move and feel nothing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
My bf is a vegetarian and I'm a meat eater, but I don't eat lobsters they are just large sea bugs!. So it's like the difference between kicking a cat or stomping on a bug!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I am a "crazy murderous troll" and a "meathead" but I agrees, that is inhuman, I wish they would fine a new way to kill animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Unlike plants, lobsters are capable of feeling pain!. The knife in the spine doesn't kill them, but paralyses them!. You're right, it is sick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I catch and eat lobsters on occasion!. The proper way to cook them is dunking them headfirst in boiling water!. They die instantly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Only regarding the harvesting!. What's next, cockroaches!? They are related!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Because they're food!. Same thing as crabs and live octopus!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
