Vegans - If animal food sources were treated with utmost respect, would you consider them as food?!
because I know a lot of vegans are vegan because of animal cruelty which I know is shocking and would drive anyone to veganism, but just hypothetically, if animials were treated better, would that change your view!? or is it just killing them that is bad enough!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

im vegan and it is an interesting question!. Ive read some philosophy to do with animals and thought about it alot, im it seems that the will to continue living is a human trait not an animal one!. Of course in the moment animals will do wat they need to survive but apparently they dont think in the way of, i hope im alive in months time etc!. So im not sure how i feel about when people used to go hunting for food, rather than domesticating it!. If the animal had a normal life then part of me feels that death is a normal part of it!.
Another part of me would be completely against it - which is why i wont kill flies or spiders etc and believes that all life has "value" (not in a religious way)!. We are all in this together, we live on the same planet we are connected, and i dont know that i could do something as destructive as taking a life!.
In other words i have no idea!
also im against aspects of farming even if done humanly, we shouldnt be in control, we shouldnt keep animals in any kind of enclosures, its like puting someone in jail and assuming there happy coz they got there needs taken care of, they dont have to find there own food etc!.

i don't think their is any such thing as humanely killing, its pretty much contradicting itself, you can't kill something unjustly but kill it nicely and then call it humane, so yes in my opinion killing is bad enough!.

but there really isn't a need!.
i still would not drink milk since the cow has to constantly be pregnant for them to continue to produce milk!. also it makes them sore to be milked (like a mother breastfeeding 24/7)!. plus i think its gross

It would not change my view!. The idea of treating an animal kindly and then killing it and consuming its flesh is not appealing to me at all!. It is very cruel and unacceptable!. I think any and all killing of sentient beings is horrible!.

Factory-farming and animal abuse in general break my heart, but that's not why I don't eat animals!. I cannot get over the fact they they are living, breathing beings!. They have hearts!.
