Woah!.!.!.weird!.

It turns out half of my contacts are vegetarian as well as myself (I used to be vegan but turned back to dairy)!.

I just eat vegetables, fruits and take vitamin and other supplements!.

Its not done me any harm!.!.!.I think!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have been vegan (no animal byproducts) for four years and took very little vitamin supplements!.!.!.!.

Meat and milk and other animal products may seem healthy, but the vitamins are the only things in them that are!. So protien is protien, calcium is calcium!. It dosent have to be calcium in milk, it can be orange juice fortified with calcium, or corral calcium!.

Unlike popular beliefe meat and milk aren't nessesary for us to consume! We simply need some of the vitamins that just so happen to be in meat and milk and other animal products!. But anything we need in vitamins, we can get from vegitation!.

Boca burgers are my favorite replacement for the real thing!. They also have vegan ribblets and such in all Walmarts I have been in, my husband was a trucker, ive been in lots!.!.!.If you ask an employee where their meatless burgers are I'm sure they'll point them out!. You can find ground "burger" fake chicken strips and patties, nuggets!.!.!.I can't cook tofu but there are usually an assortment of deli meat (i dont really like) in the produce section of Walmart!. Boca burgers and chicken strips aren't usually found in the same area as the tofu!.!.!.

If you live near a, Whole Foods or Wild Oats store they have an awsome selection on vegitarian and vegan products!.!.

Good luck to you and keep it up! If you feel you need more energy you can find a multvitamin supplement!. I suggest consulting your doctor or nutrisionist first!. But asside for prenatal vitamins when I was pregnant, I haven't taken any other source of vitamins!. My mother gave me a small bottle of b-12 tablets!. And those helped a bit!.!.!.But Ive taken nothing besides, and I feel good!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

According to the American Dietetic Association, a planned vegetarian diet can be even healthier than a typical diet!.

Less cholesterol, less saturated fat, less cancerous chemicals (meat does increase the chance of getting cancer)!.

And vegetarians live an average of 7 years longer than non-vegetarians!.

Good replacements for meat include nuts, beans, soy, rice, and milk and eggs (if you're not going vegan!.!.!.I don't eat eggs personally)!. Most foods have some amount of protein, just some have more than others!.

What about chicken, turkey and fish do you have a problem with them too!?!?

Here are other good sources of protien:
Chick peas
Baked beans
Tofu
Cow's milk
Lentils
Soya milk
Muesli
Egg
Peanuts
Bread
Hard cheese

The more varied your sources are the better as you need different types of amino acidsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Nuts, eggs, fish, lentils, especially black beans, and tofu!. also I would take an Omega 3 supplement if you aren't eating fish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well just try to eat lots of fruits and veggies and starch and maybe you could eat meat once a month because evryone needs protein but peanut butter is protein too if that helps

Peanut butter, nuts, eggs, anything high in protein!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like you need iron!. Try dark green vegetables like cabbage, broccoli or best of all spinach :0)Www@FoodAQ@Com

it is healthy to be a vegetarian!. Ummmm!.!.!.!.!.!.how bout pizza or pasta or a salad!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Add some fish and eggs to the menu!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

<--I'm a vegetarian!.!.!.And look at me! LOOK AT ME!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

VEGETABLES AINT FOOD!. THATS WHAT FOOD EATS!.

THE WORD VEGETARIAN IS ACTUALLY AN OLD INDIAN WORD!. IT MEANS BAD HUNTER!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
