I am afraid i am getting too much starch?!
it seems like all i eat as a vegetarian are potatoes!.!.and starch turns to sugar, right!? say at lunch, they usually have meat and fries and steamed veggies!. i eat the potatoes and some of the steamed veggies, which i do not even like that much!. i am afraid that i might get diabetes because it runs in the family and me all of a sudden eating all this sugar!.!.
so my questions are
how bad are potatoes really!?
what are some starch free school lunches that are super easy, okay cold, and can fit into a lunch bag

eat sweet potatoes their healthier,
maybe have a salad every once in a while,
or have a "hamburger" or chik'n patty
or throw some fruit in thier with a pb&j

As long as the carbohydrates are complex in nature (the kind found in fruits and veggies) I don't see a problem worrying about diabetes, although you may have a genetic predisposition to the condition!. It is the sugar found in candybars, sodas, etc that one must worry about increased blood sugar levels!.

don't worry about it right now i am the same age just act like a kid and don't eat totally veggy!. what you can do is tuna is not a meat and if you like it mix a little bit of mayo or Miracle whip in it and add celery and spread it on Ritz crackers or whole wheat crackers!. if not there are also other healthy if you need more ideas and you don't like fish i can give you other recipes toWww@FoodAQ@Com
