As long as you are properly balancing your diet as a vegetarian that you should be fine!. There are many books are websites that can help you to properly plan a vegetarian diet, so that it is healthy!.

There are many people who are misinformed about vegetarian nutrition(even some doctors), who think that young people should not be vegetarian!. However, even the American Dietetic Association, which is the world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals states that an appropriate planned vegetarian diet is healthy for all stages of life!.

Be sure to talk to your parents and maybe they can hook you up with registered dietitian that can help you to understand how to still get the protein you need without eating animal flesh!. Plus if your parents are doing the cooking, you'll want them on board!. Explain to them what you saw and how it made you feel!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You will be fine, you just have to make sure to eat a balanced diet!. Personally, I have low iron but it's always been on the low side, and I take supplements for it!. There are tons of vegetarian options, and maybe you can learn to cook some stuff by yourself!. If you need any help with it, you can e-mail me (e-mail is in my profile thing)!. If this is a choice you want to make, good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You'll be fine as long as you get enough fresh fruit and veg!. Vegans have been around for a long time, and we're fine!. My family haven't had animal products and my father looks half his age, and without any diseases!.

It's a good thing you are doing for yourself, the animals and the planet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

omg -as long as you eat a healthy, balanced diet with protein of any form you are fine!. have your parents schedule an appointment with a nutrionist!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes follow it up !. the younger you stick with it you will keep up ! i hope ! your doing a great thing :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

yep, just be sure to get enough iron and protein in your diet!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ok, it sounds like you've done some research on your own, so I'll just tell you a little about my experience!.

Something similar happened with me, but I was 12!. I ate meat when I had to, if it meant not hurting someones feelings or being rude!. Be open to eating a little meat then because otherwise it's very hurtful sometimes!.

I started to get dry skin around my eyes!. I needed to supplement a rich oil in my diet!. I wasn't getting enough fat and it was actually making my body store fat and making my skin get dry! Weird! But make sure you have some good oil supplements, after a few years, you can tell!

also, be sure you're diet is well balanced! You're going to have to eat a lot of seeds, nuts, a ton of veggies in a wide variety, fruits, every day!. There's a lot your body is going to be missing just from not eating meat!. Try to be open to fish or organic meats!. Organic or free-range animals are treated much better!.

Do not simply eat a ton of bread or sandwiches when you're hungry! You need to be sure you have enough iron and vitamins on your system! eat dark greens, broccoli, veggies in every color! Eat lots of berries!

Be sure to talk to your mom!. It's going to mean a lot of changes for her, as well!

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, it's not healthy for someone your age!. If you go vegetarian you have to take all sorts of pills and stuff, and it's just not healthy, it will probably stunt your growth! If you are really concerned why not visit a local farm!? I promise you that video the crazy peta lady showed is not how things are done!. In fact, it was probably the peta workers commiting the horrible acts of violence!

PETA does like to use "shock and awe" and they prey on children in schools!.

i am really suprised that the school board allows this to happen in schools because it opens the doors to litigation that could cost them a lot of money!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
