Have you tried Quorn Turk'y roast? ?!
Thanksgiving is coming up, so I picked up one of these to take to the family get-together (so my husband and I will have something to eat) and was wondering if anyone had tried it and has opinions, or knows of a really yummy way to cook it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I did a couple of years ago!. It's ok - can be a little be dry unless you cook it carefully!. It has a slightly sweet taste anyway so my advice would be to make a baste with a little light oil ( not extra virgin olive oil as it has too strong a taste ) sunflower or safflower would be fine, honey and a drop of white wine!. Drizzle it over the quorn roast and baste it every so often when cooking!.
btw you don't *have* to cook it in the cellophane wrapper!. I dislike cooking things in plastic, and I took the wrapper off, so as long as you make sure its otherwise covered and theres plenty of moisture, you're fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have had the quorn roast and enjoyed it!. I cooked it the way that I would have made a turkey!. I put it in a roasting pan with vegetable broth and veggies!. I later turned the broth into gravy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I have this for christmas!. It needs gravy, but so do real meats!.
It's lovely!.
It needs to be cooked in the airtight packaging it comes in, so basting is impossibleWww@FoodAQ@Com
