Maybe I can help!.
1) Try eating less meat!. Just a pound less can make a difference as the demand decreases!. Buy meats from local farmers and markets!. Although they still suffer, it is less and more humane in their death!.
2) Don't buy animal skins!. It's quite easy, cheaper and much MUCH more humane!.
3) Very good on the no VEAL!! I am very proud!. :-)
4) Stonyfield organics!. It is a common but humane alternative to regular brand dairy!.
5) Cage Free eggs!. They are also widely available!.
6) I don't know how you stand on animal testing but, if possible, try to buy humanely tested cosmetics!.
7) Use the power of your voice!. Ignorant people may call you a hypocrite but animal rights/welfare is not an all-or-nothing deal!. Do as much as you can!. Write letters (I also don't how you stand on PETA but they do have alot of resources for making your voice heard)!.
I hope I helped and if you ever have any questions/concerns/whatever please contact me! I am happy to help!!

If you still want to eat meat its best to eat sustained (meaning they do not over-farm), locally farmed, kosher !.!. if possible, and organic!. If you eat poultry try eating cage free and free range too!.
This is something thats more about health and being green then anything!. There is no taxonomy for this kind of eating, diet, and lifestyle!.
Nonetheless, eating and dieting like this does significantly help eliminate cruelty!. Nothing is 100%, not even going vegan, but if you eat meat this is the best approach you can take!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you live near a Whole Foods Market, they usually sell animal protein sources that are grain fed, and treated humanely!. Not sure what iit is labeled exactly!. the best thing would be to talk to a Whole foods manager!. Explain your situation and they could help you!. but I do understand what you are going through because I'm trying to figure out things myself and reading books and researching!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yeah, definitely no veal!. Well, maybe if you go to the grocery store to the meat section, I'm not for sure but there might be stickers on the meat that says "free range"!. That means that they weren't locked in cages, that they eat and lived in a field!. Which is better than being confined to a very small cage!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
i'd be very careful about where you source your meat from - buy free range but preferably from local farms where you know for sure what the treatment of the animals is!. and i don't know what your reasons are for eating meat but i'd suggest to try and find good lists of alternatives and eat them whenever possible!. and try not to wear leather or other animal products!. good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
If you're going to continue to eat meat then you should try free range products, these products allow the animals to lead a happy life in a healthy environment and they are not tortured but i really suggest giving vegetarianism a try, there are many many substitutes for meat that taste just as goodWww@FoodAQ@Com
Free range/organic labels mean pretty much nothing if you live in the US; they are gimmicks!.
"Is there such thing as humane meat and dairy products!?"
By definition it is inhumane to kill someone for your own benefit!.
Humane: marked by compassion, sympathy, or considerationWww@FoodAQ@Com

Raise your own animals if you have the heart to kill them!. I on the other hand don't!. I have chickens but I would never eat them!. I love them too much!. Plus they trust me and I can't betray that trust!.
I'd sell you their delicious eggs though (much better than store bought) and I charge only $2/dozenWww@FoodAQ@Com

No!.
Why can't you be vegan or vegetarian!? I really can't see a situation where you cant!.
If it's because you don't like the vegan/vegetarian food!. You will like it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try hunting, killing, and butchering them yourself, if you can't do this become a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
there is no vitamin, mineral, protein, carbohydrate, or fat that you need to consume meat to get!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Even eggs that say free-range or cage free are for the most part are stuck in a storage place and don't have good conditions!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
you could buy from local farmersWww@FoodAQ@Com
I'll be straight with you!. The best thing you can do for animals is to not eat them!. Even if you find an animal that has lived a great life, you're still murdering him/her for your taste buds!. There is no such thing as "happy meat"!. The U!.S!. Department of Agriculture requires that free-range chickens used for meat have access to the outdoors, but many free-range chickens never spend any time outside because they’ve been bred and drugged to grow so obese that they can hardly move!. Washington State University farm expert Terry Swagerty confirms that most free-range chickens never go outside because, he says, “They’re not bred for mobility!. They’re bred for hogging down food!.” Or as The Seattle Times puts it, “[T]hey’ve been known to plop down and not walk at all!.” Richard Lobb, spokesperson for the National Chicken Council, explains in a moment of candor, “If you go to a free-range farm and expect to see a bunch of chickens galloping around in pastures, you’re kidding yourself!.” Some in the chicken industry are conning consumers by labeling these birds free-range when most are deprived of everything that is natural to them and forced to endure the same conditions as chickens in factory farms—including extreme crowding, cruel breeding, and filthy and disease-ridden living conditions!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You could buy local and organic meats!. They aren't factory farmed so they get to live a happy life running around like a normal animal!. I would recommend researching for cage free eggs!. A lot of eggs are sold that are labeled as "free range hens", but they are no better than caged hens because they are never allowed outside and their whole life is spent in a barn crammed with thousands of chickens!. Their are some farmers who let their hens out every day and their hens have plenty of moving space in their sheds!. As for milk, I'm not really sure!. My best bet would be organic!. As long as it is not factory farmed, I'm sure it would be somewhat humane!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I understand what you're saying!. And NO the reasons why you must eat meat are no ones business but your own!.
As far as the TOOLS that are on here, busting your chops about eating meat, or making snarky comments!.!.!.they can get bent!.
I once read a long time ago that the problem with a vegan lifestyle was that eating animal products (even if it's just eggs) allows the body to produce certain amino acids that only consuming animal protein will allow!. So in my books you're doing right!.
There are some producers that treat the livestock better than others, but you'll have to look for them!.
Try a search engine with words like 'humane livestock' or maybe 'humane pork/poultry/beef producers'!. You might get a link that will get you in touch with a group that promotes these better practices!.
That's the best I've got for you!.
Good luck!.
