Vegetarian; dizzy and weak. ANY VEGETARIANS HELP?!
i'm a vegetarian, and lately ive been extremely dizzy and weak, i heard this has to do with red blood cells!? how do i stop feeling dizzy tired and i feel like i'm going to puke!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
first drink a bit of water as you may be dehydrated!. If that does not help you are most likely missing out on some essential nutrients such as iron, which are important for blood production!. Kale, Blackstrap molasses and spinach are good sources!. You can also start taking a liquid supplement if that is not enough!.
If not iron then most probably potasium or sodium or you're not eating enough protein!. Beans are great as they contain lots of good nutrients and protein!.

I'm not a pure vegetarian but I eat a largely plant-based diet!. I eat turkey for more protein because I do have an anemia problem!.
It does sound as though you've got a deficiency but without a blood test you can't really know for sure whether it's iron, potassium or something else!.
So, first let's deal with anemia:
It's a deficiency in red blood cells, in other words your blood chemistry is out of whack!. Do you have your period!? Did you just have a baby!? Surgery!?
You don't have to eat meat to improve this!. If this is your problem, you need more protein, and the body does not know the difference between protein from meat and protein from other foods!. I'm including a link that will tell you about protein sources!.
My next guess is potassium - this is something I struggled with when I was really young and my symptoms were the same as yours!. Good sources of potassium are bananas, citrus fruits and vegetables!. In a pinch, have potato chips or something salty!.
To avoid deficiencies, your best bet is to visualize your plate divided into quarters!. Be sure to have a variety of colors of vegetables and fruits!. This gives you a variety of the vitamins and minerals you need!.
1 quarter of your plate should be protein
1 quarter of your plate should be whole grains
2 quarters of your plate should be vegetables (careful not to use too many starchy carbs like corn and potatoes)
I'm including a link that has a good video on how to divide your plate!.
Finally, be sure to drink plenty of water each day!.
Good luck, and feel better!

anemia is when you do not have enough iron in your blood, you can get iron from non meat sources, however the iron contained in those things (ie leafy greens and whole grains) are harder for your body to absorb than the iron you get from meat!.
Anemia is not something to fool around with whatsoever, it can lead to heart problems as well as a host of other problems and vegetarians and vegans are at higher risk for it b/c of their eating habits!.
I was feeling the same way as you before I started eating meat again, once I started incorporating meat back into my diet I was fine!. Bottom line eat some meat, you will feel 100% better!. Good luckWww@FoodAQ@Com

PRTOEIN!
does the body good!.
vegetarians should be eating lots of eggs and legumes!. and on top of that iron pillls!
sounds like your becoming anemic
edit: anemia: 1!. Pathology!. a quantitative deficiency of the hemoglobin, often accompanied by a reduced number of red blood cells and causing pallor, weakness, and breathlessness!.
long story short: low iron/red blood cells=cold all the time, weak/dizzynessWww@FoodAQ@Com

Feeling dizzy and weak can be caused my a lot of things!. It could be your diet, and then again, it could be something completely unrelated!.
Your best option is to go to a doctor and get some tests done!. No one online is really going to be able to tell you what is wrong, even a doctor wouldn't diagnose you without seeing you first!.
I personally think it is detrimental to guess at what the problem may be!. You could be anemic, but you're not going to know unless you get a blood test!. People often look to a scapegoat when they are feeling ill, and this can keep the focus away from the real issue!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

get your blood checked by your doctor for vitamins and iron and protein!. that way you know for sure and he can suggest a better way to get what you are missing, if anything!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

this probably means that you have anaemia
this means that you are not getting enough iron in your diet
as the red blood cells carry the oxygen around your body
this is why you are feeling dizzy and weak
either go to the doctors, as they will prescribe iron tablets
or just start eating more iron in your diet
such as green leafy vegtables and apricotsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Fresh, uncooked spinach
1/2 avocado, sliced
red onion, chopped
1/2 tomato, chopped
shredded cheese
(aren't eggs considered "meat"!?)Www@FoodAQ@Com
