Do fast food french fries have animal traces in them?!
It says on Wendy's nutrition values that the fries could be cooked in stuff with animal products but I'm not sure!. Does anyone know if the fries [and at McDonalds] are vegan safe!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you're vegan, you can't trust any food unless you A!. cook it yourself!. B!. Go to a Vegan Restaurant, or C!. It SAYS "VEGAN" on the package!. Otherwise!.!.!.animal products are the cheapest ingredients so they're basically in EVERY commercial food product!. If you're at Wendy's!.!.!.just order the Baked Potato plain, with sea salt!. The McDonald's fries in the U!.S!. have beef flavoring on them so they aren't vegetarian!. They are certified vegetarian in Canada and the U!.K!.

I know that they used to fry them in animal fat, but they don't do that anymore!. But I wouldn't say that it's really safe, or healthy, but if you have to eat it you'll be ok!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No they arent!. Sometimes they will fry the chicken in the french fry machine and sometimes employees will deep fry a burger for their own personal employee meals to save time!.

Ask them every time you buy them!. Not very reliable but even if they are using vegan safe oils there is probs traces from other foods they needed to cook fast and shoved 'em inWww@FoodAQ@Com

they USED to fry the fries in lard (yuk!) but like a couple years ago they switched to vegetable/canola oil, so i think they would be fineWww@FoodAQ@Com
