Has anyone ever heard of tofu/soy affecting men's fertility?!

Question: Has anyone ever heard of tofu/soy affecting men's fertility!?
My wife and I are trying to conceive and we heard that soy lowers a man's fertility because of so called estrogen in it!. Anyone conceived and consumed good amounts of soy!? Can anyone debunk this with evidence!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I cook vegan food for the both of us (although probably soya only a couple of times a week - mainly combine other legumes and rice for amino acids)!. So my non-vegan partner has been mostly vegan (1 litre cow milk a week for tea and 2 meat meals a week max) for 4 years

We conceived on third cycle!. I am 32 and my partner is 44

if you are worried, cut down on soy and use other legumes for protein

"A few studies suggest that high levels of soy protein may decrease fertility!. According to a report in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition a small number of studies have shown that high levels of soy can increase menstrual cycle length, decrease FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) and decrease LH (leutinizing hormone)!. But we must note that the high levels of soy generating this effect are equivalent to drinking three 12-ounce glasses of soy milk (60 g soy protein equivalent to 45 mg of isoflavones) for a month!. However, normally most people do not consume this much soy!."

I found this at http://www!.babyhopes!.com/articles/soy!.ht!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes and it's not true,

think about it!.!.!. China (and therefore Chinese men) eat the most bean curd per capita and there are more than a billion of them!. Obviously, eating soy has not affected their fertility!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The Chinese prove the meat industry propaganda wrong!. Have you ever heard of a fertility problem in China!? They eat more soy then anyone on earth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd be more concerned about the hormones in meat and milk!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
