Okay Vegans. What would be a good idea for a present?!

Question: Okay Vegans!. What would be a good idea for a present!?
My sister went vegan last year and is really into now, I would like to get her a gift that would go along with that theme!. What do you think!? I was thinking of a gift certificate to Whole Foods or something along those lines!. Thanks for your ideas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am a vegan myself, and I think a great gift would be a small basket of sauces!. A vegan can double or triple their menu options, with just the right sauces!. Surprisingly, Wal-mart has a fairly good selection of unique sauces!. Just look in the aisle where the sauces are kept, and the Asian food section, as there are good sauces there as well!. Here are a few I like:

I just came across a great website called "We Add Up"!. It's basically a pro-environment clothing company!. They sell organic cotton shirts with specific labels on them (for example VEGAN, CARPOOL, DRINK TAP, ORGANIC, etc!.) On the front of the shirt is your individual number (every shirt is unique)!. I was thinking of getting the vegan shirt myself!. Of course this is granted you have enough time to get it shipped (carbon-neutrally, of course)!.

You can get her clothes, perhaps an animal rights t-shirt or tote bag!? Try these websites for animal rights inspired clothing:

And like the other posters mentioned, you can always buy her a vegan cookbook from various places such as Barnes & Noble or Borders!. If not a cookbook, then perhaps a book on animal liberation or just veganism in general!. There are so many great books out there, so just stop by your local store or shop around online :) One book I got for my birthday over the summer was called "Caring Consumers" and talked about companies that did and did not test on animals!. I take it with me when I'm shopping for makeup or hair products, because I can look up a company's name and know within seconds whether or not it tests on animals!. That book has been a life-saver!

Well good luck and I hope I helped!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not one who likes gift certificates as gifts unless you just don't know the person!.

Instead, a Vegan cookbook, a subscription to vegetarian times, or even the book 'skinny *itch' would be some great options!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
