Question: Have you ever accidentally!.!.!.!.!?
Ate something with meat in it cuz you didn't know it had it in there!. When I move out of the house, im going vegetarian (can't now cuz of concerned parents) and idk, ive just thought about that a lot i guess, have you accidentally done that before!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
no, but at restaurants you have to ask and make sure they cook veggie stuff on a separate grill, and that they don't use gelatin or lard in their stuff!.

good luck :]
and if you want to start early, tell your parents that you can get all of the protein from many other things!

yes twice and LOATHED it with every mistake!. The first time was when I was young and took bite of a sandwich with a lot of veggies in it, but ONE slice of ham *yuck* Then another time when there was a clump that looked like bread in a cup of ranch that turned out to be chicken!. I may be over sensitive, but it took me a while to get over those accidents!. You ALWAYS have to be careful as a vegetarian, and it sort of freaks me out that there might be hidden animal products in foods I don't even know about (found out a few months ago about gelatin) so when you do go veggie, BE CAREFUL! and good luck!. btw, I understand about the concerned parents thing!. I plan to go vegan once I'm out of the house because I think vegetarian is all they can handle ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not so much meat!. It's pretty easy to see chunks of meat in stuff, but yeah to be honest it probably happens all the time!. A lot of the time you forget to check something and assume it's going to be vegetarian but then when you go back to check it it isn't (whey etc)!. Sometimes it's pretty much unavoidable, for example if you stay at a friend's and use their veggie-unfriendly toothpaste!. You've just got to try your best to put as little money into the meat industry as possible, that's all that matters to me!. Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

lol i think every vegetarian/vegan has accidentally eating meat at one point

and it is a really bad feeling lol

i myself am a vegan and i accidentally ate something that had
Red #40 in it!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. which is ground up insects!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. which is revolting vegan or not!.!. i mean eww

anyway you feel bad mentally a couple days afterwards but you get over it

every one makes mistakes!.!.!.

but if a person feels really bad about accidentally eating meat or something they can do a complete body cleanse it easy the mind and the body lol Www@FoodAQ@Com

well im vegetarian and one of my friends is to and she got a bean burrito from taco bell once and it had a big chunk of meat in it and she said she tasted and just spit it out!. But you can always do research about what foods have meat in them and which ones dont!. And just experiment in cooking like i do!. =] lol but you do gotta be careful at alot of restaurants because some restaurants are inconsiderate and always put meat in foods even when you tell them not toWww@FoodAQ@Com

other than gelatin (which is in junior mints! which i tried in the movies not too long ago)

but i ate baked ziti (before i was vegan) and there was CHICKEN in there!.
I may have eaten tiny bits of it before i got a HUGE chunk in my mouth and was so confused as to what it was!. I thought maybe cheese!. Or a meatball!. I couldn't tell since I was vegetarian for 6 yrs at the time

plus just recently i had margarine that i thought was vegan, i read through the ingredients!.!.!. but then i checked again after i ate it and clearly saw 'WHEY' marked in it!.

and to the RED DYE # 40 person!.!.!.!.!.!. I thought that it was vegan!.!.!. http://www!.vrg!.org/nutshell/faqingredien!.!.!.
http://www!.chow!.com/stories/10214 (under campari!. red dye 40 is vegan but not 4!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Absolutely!. It happens to everyone!.
Several years ago I ate a few bites of a twice baked potato at my mom's house, only to find out later it contained bacon!. I didn't make a big deal out of it, since my mother didn't do it maliciously, but I started bringing my own food to family gatherings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Several times, it's not that bad!. Some people try to tease me, but I know my intentions are good, and I know it's not my fault, as long as I sent back/didn't eat the food after I found out what was in there, I have no problem with it!. I just move on, and take that as a lesson learned and don't do it again!. No biggie =DWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, it's horrible!. Like I didn't know french onion soup was made with beef broth, I didn't know about gelatin in marshmallows and gum till like last year, and I never knew TWINKIES had beef fat!. :[

But as long as you don't eat it after you know, it should be okay!.
It's not like you did it on purpose!. :DWww@FoodAQ@Com

Lol, I'm indesicive abotu being a vegitarian, {Trying, and both thinkign abotu my health, doesn't work the best}

Anyways, I can't have MSG, or nitrites, so it puts me in a similar postition as vegitarians!.

Only once since I started getting migrains, have Istarted eating something with nitrites by accident!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have severe allergies so I have to be very careful what I eat when I'm out as some of my allergies can kill me!. However, I did once eat bacon in vegetable soup after being vegan for many years!. I was so traumatised as it was the first time in my life I had ever eaten it!. I even went to the Temple, I was so upset!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

im not a vegetarian so idk but alot of people have done thatWww@FoodAQ@Com

not me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
