Question: Im a new vegetarian, i need advice!?
so i just started, im really tempted to have meat, but i know that if i did, i would regret it SO much later (that's what happens when you watch the peta vids)!. what do you do to prevent yourself from getting that temptation!?

How to make the change!?
Don't expect to become vegetarian overnight, it's not going to happen!. Changing such a huge thing in your life, what you eat, is a long process, but don't give up!! You will miss your favorite foods at the beginning, but over time you will learn to hate them!. When I first decided to go veggie, I just gave up battery farmed animals (ones farmed cruelly) and only ate free range meat!. This continued for about 2 months until I physically felt sick seeing meat and couldn't bring myself to eat it!. This is what you are aiming for!. Until this point, it will be challenging, but once you get there, you will never feel tempted and it will being so much easier!.

Why should you become a vegetarian!?
The most important question with such a short answer!.
The thought that you can have less impact on the environment and lead a healthy long life through a simple dietary choice!.

also, is your love for meat stronger than your love for animals!? Would you let animals suffer for simply your enjoyment!? Eating meat is nothing more than an enjoyment, it is no different to watching a bull getting tortured in Spain!. It is abusing animals for thing that humans don't even need!.

As someone who understands the views of ethical vegetarians yet does not think it is necessary to go completely vegetarian to make a difference!.!.!.I'd say that you shouldn't be so hard on yourself!.

If we all cut back on our meat consumption then there wouldn't be a need for the types of practices which occur within the meat industry!.

btw, if you are feeling faint from not eating meat, consult your doctor!. Some people don't do as well on a vegetarian diet as others!. I'm not saying it can't be done!.!.but your cravings may mean you need to be extra careful to make correct selections in order to get appropriate protein!.

Would it be rude to point out that if you were truly bothered by the animal's treatment that you would be so disgusted by meat that you could hardly look at it let alone eat it!?

oh dude i feel sorry for u that it's difficult for u to give up on meat just like that :< looks like u'll have to be strict with yourself, either give it some time and quit with meat gradually, yaknow still eat it but with every next time less and less!.!.however best way in my opinion would be just give up on it and forget about it as something eatable, just make yourself not eat it, after some time u should naturally don't want to eat it!.!.well see for yourself what's better way for you, good luckWww@FoodAQ@Com

You really need to find meals that you really like that don't have meat in them!. How about macaroni cheese!? or a nice hearty lentil and veggie soup or a nice summer terrain with layered vegetables or a hearty lasagna made with vegetable or just mushrooms!. I know it's not exactly an answer!. But I have a friend who's a pescatarian!. She doesn't eat anything like chicken, turkey, pork, beef, etc!.!.!.!.but she eats fish to keep that craving down!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Buy your self some good vegetarian cook books and educate yourself about nutrition!.
