Should I wait to become a vegetarian?!
I've thought about becoming a vegetarian for a while now, and I am sure that it's what I want to do!.
My only problem is that I'm getting married in about a month!. I don't want to get sick (or look sickly) or for my body to change drastically before I get married!. So, vegetarians' experience-- should I wait, or start now!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You wont get sick or look sickly if you make sure you get all your nutrition!. Simply buy whey protein powder (vegetarian kind) from a health food store and drink protein drinks everyday, get yourself some supplements like vitamins (not centrum, get some real vitamins from a health food store) and you will look and feel better than you ever had!.
To the pacman comment, I went vegetarian 3 years ago and developed rosacea and other skin problems such as flaky skin all over my body about a year later, as well as loss of hair at 23 years old because of protein deficiency(Im italian, very hairy, almost afro like hair that I shave because its normally so bushy, It wasnt male pattern baldness or anything like that, more like thinning of my hair)!. Had blood tests done, found out I was deficient in protein and zinc!. I started taking whey protein everyday(and zinc) and all my symptoms disappeared and in 6 months my hair grew back!. Unless you are eating nuts all day long 24/7, I would like to know how you expect to get protein!. Your body needs protein to function properly!. Whey protein is a way to ensure that you get it in one drink, and not have to worry all day long about stuffing your mouth with beans and nuts etc!.
I live in Thailand, where vegetarianism is much more accepted and soy and tofu are always an option no matter where you eat!.We even have the world famous vegetarian festival!. I dont have these western standards you speak of!. I know your angle, and I get mad too when meat eaters say that you cant be vegetarian because meat has protein that you cant get while being vegetarian!. But not all people's bodies are the same!. While you may have not needed whey protein, my body definately did, and I disregarded protein until my social life was ruined by my rosacea and my thinning hair!. Whey is vegetarian, so it doesnt do any harm to mention it to people who may find it easier than eating nuts, tofu and beans everyday!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

also, I just wanted to tell you that you ROCK!! Of course, I don't know you personally, but just the fact that you support out voiceless friends, automatically makes you an AWESOME person!! Keep up the amazing work! ?

Please stop thinking that a lack of meat or other animal products will make you look sick!. Western cultures are so misguided on health and diet! Don't listen to the above people who say to drink protein drinks or that vegetarians and vegans "often lack protein!." It simply is untrue!. In one month, you may have lost a few pounds but you'll still fit into your beautiful wedding dress!. You'll be surprised that your energy levels may be higher and your skin will be brighter!. I was a sickly meat eater!. Since I went vegan nearly two years ago I keep hearing how vibrant and healthy I look!. And I feel so much better too!.
Go vegetarian already!. Form your own opinions and read some books or online material!. There's a wealth of knowledge out there just waiting for you to do some research!.
Congratulations on the wedding! :DWww@FoodAQ@Com

It really is up to you just make sure you have a properly balanced diet!. Vegan's often lack protein so make sure you do some research whether on the net @ the library or buy some decent cookery books!. You will also need to consider how & what you are going to eat when married!. Is your fiancee' a vegan or does he like meat etc!? Good luck for the future what ever you decide!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
i was a vegetarian for about 2 years and i only lost a bit of weight so i dont think youll need to worry about that!. just make sure that you eat lots of beans and tofu and other protein things:)Www@FoodAQ@Com
The only change should be a mild headache as you cleanse your system!. But that's only if you go strict vegan!. If you go just vegetarian, don't worry about any drastic changes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Wait until after you get married!. One month won't make the slightest difference!. Besides, one month before I got married all I could think of was the wedding!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
if you weed out your diet, it should be fine!. if you do it gradualy it should be ok!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You wont get sick if you eat right!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
it's your choice!. no difference if you wait or not honestly!.
