Oh by the way, You can become vegetarian overnight!.!.!. I ate my dinner like I did every other night, happened to be tacos!.!. Went on computer!.!. Someone showed me some stuff about the animal cruelty!. I looked into it more!.!. By the time I went to be I told myself that was my last un-vegan meal and from now on I won't use and eat any animal products!. I'm a 16yr old deadbeat kid, if I can pull that off then anyone should be able to be vegetarian over night!. It's not a big difference anyways, your only giving up meat!.!.

Though it might be easier slowly changing for you!. Different things work for different people!. Stay focused and go after you goal if your wanting to become vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It can be difficult - that depends on the individual of course!.
I don't find it hard - I never did, and I've been a vegetarian for a third of a century!. also, I stopped all in one go, not gradually as some people recommend!. It was easy enough for me to do it, though, because there were already two vegetarians in the family, so the precedent and infrastructure were already in place!.
Why don't I find it hard!?
(A) Because I don't get the craving to eat my fellow creatures - the thought of ME eating them revolts me (I emphasise ME, because I have no problem with anyone else eating them - it doesn't exactly thrill me of course, but I can live with it)!.
(B) Because I get everything I need from my current diet - nutrition, variety, taste, texture, peace of mind!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's easy for me not eating meat, think abut your favorite dishes and you think of their flavour not the meat!. Mostly meat is just there to add texture and bulk to the dish and can easily be replaced!. Pretty much every dish can be altered to disclude meat!.Not to mention the fact that I find eating the flesh of a dead animal revolting!.
Especialy ribs, sickening!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think depends on person, for me it's absolutely not difficult, in 90% of time i don't even remember that i'm vegetarian and somehow have to make myself to not eat meat, it just naturally happens that i don't eat and use anything from animal and that doesn't bother me much, only what i still use is eggs and milks and sweets made of them, it's really hard to give up on sweets and cakes :[ so that's only difficult if u wanna be vegan, but to be vegetarian is rather easy unless meat have allways been your fav food or something, i guess!.!.!.anywayz i'll tell u that before i became vegetarian i did like to eat some meat and found it tasty, but after i made decision to become vegetarian i never again wanted to eat it or had any craving for it etc, dunno maybe that' just me :/Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hi James! ?

Don't expect to become vegetarian overnight, it's not going to happen!. Changing such a huge thing in your life, what you eat, is a long process, but don't give up!! You will miss your favorite foods at the beginning, but over time you will learn to hate them!. When I first decided to go veggie, I just gave up battery farmed animals (ones farmed cruelly) and only ate free range meat!. This continued for about 2 months until I physically felt sick seeing meat and couldn't bring myself to eat it!. This is what you are aiming for!. Until this point, it will be challenging, but once you get there, you will never feel tempted and it will being so much easier!.

Why should you become a vegetarian!?
The most important question with such a short answer!.
The thought that you can have less impact on the environment and lead a healthy long life through a simple dietary choice!.

also, is your love for meat stronger than your love for animals!? Would you let animals suffer for simply your enjoyment!? Please don't judge me for saying this but this is really what I think of people who eat meat, they are choosing their own enjoyment over an animal's life!. Eating meat is nothing more than an enjoyment, it is no different to watching a bull getting tortured in Spain!. It is abusing animals for thing that humans don't even need!.

What helped me, was the video on www!.meat!.org
I'm warning you that it is gruesome but that might be exactly what you are looking for!.

Lastly, I just wanted to tell you that you ROCK!! Of course, I don't know you personally, but just the fact that you support out voiceless friends, automatically makes you an AWESOME person!! Keep up the amazing work! ?
One by one we can all make a difference, be heard and eventually change the world! We can do it =)?
Good luck,
All the best!

Making a major lifestyle change can be difficult, especially if everybody you know does what you're trying to change!. I found it hard for that reason!. However, I stuck with it!. (In the past, I would have stayed with my habits because it was easier, I didn't have support, I felt uncomfortable because I was "different", etc!.)

Now, almost four years into this, I don't think much of it!. It can be difficult at dinners in which the main foods contain animal and animal products, but it's my choice and I don't mind!. (Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches fit nicely in my purse, or the diaper bag if we have our daughter!.)

It can be hard to find food in a conventional grocery store!. However, on Wednesday, my husband and I bought $70 worth of groceries at Meijer, everything but the night lights and his coffee creamer were vegan!. It might be even harder, now that we are farther from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, but we'll survive!. (Kroger has a natural foods section!. It's expensive, though, but if it's what I have access to as opposed to driving to Michigan or further to Columbus [we live just outside of Bowling Green], then it will be worth it!. There is also a natural foods store that I knew of, but we couldn't find the other day!.)

I do this because I learned of factory farming-- what it does to the animals and what it does to the planet!. Prior to learning about that, I had felt as though God calls us to care for the earth with which we have been blessed, and already recycled, reused, etc!. When I read about factory farming (on line and I think I read some of "The Way We Eat, Why Our Food Choices Matter" which is now, "The Ethics of What We Eat, Why Our Food Choices Matter"), I knew that is what I "had" to do!. My husband, a conscious omnivore, does eat meat!. However, he will pretty much only do so when eating out, or at his parents', etc!. (He gets creative making dishes for both of us or will make something that he can toss meat in, etc!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't have a hard time at all!. Sometimes people give me a hard time (a lot actually, I live in a rural area), but that's the only thing I wish wasn't a part of my lifestyle!.

I think it's easier for vegans/vegetarians who do so for the sake of animals!. We know that we're helping an animal everyday by simply choosing not to partake in animal products!. If you're doing it only for health reasons, I'm sure it probably could be difficult since it's like being on a diet!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

The actual not eating meat is easy, just think about where it comes from!. Finding vegetarian foods at the supermarket is hard everything seems to designed to sneak some meat in!. I have to make everything from scratch which is a bit time consuming, but it is either that or be ill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think that it depends why your doing it!. I am vegetarian because i don't believe we have the right to end any life other than our own!. i don't get cravings for meat but if i smell meat i still get hungry, just not for meat!. The only hard thing for me is knowing what you can and can't eat like which cheeses have rennet and what foods have gelatin or animal fats!. It's still worth it for the sense of achievement you have though!. You should be fine if you've got a bit of will power!. A lot of people take the piss out of you though but they're morons anyway!Www@FoodAQ@Com

it depends if your a big meat-eater or if you come from a family big on meat then it can be difficult and it takes alot of dedication to stick with it
me personally ive been a vegitarian all my life
i was given a choice to eat what i wanted when i got older but i just didnt want to i mean i have tried it once or twice just because i wanted to know what it was like
and its not only about the animals for me i honestly just dont like it
becomeing a vegetarian is one the best decisions you will ever make and if you make it past one month youll never look back
( =Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its hard not eating meat!. Very hard!. However, if you have a substantial food budget you can reduce the cravings for meat by buying high protein foods and vitamin rich foods!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No way!
I have recently started being a vegetarian (two weeks ago) and I haven't had cravings at all!

I haven't really liked meat ever though, so I suppose that helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's easier being vegan!. It's not hard not eating meat!. It's disgusting and animals suffer and die for peoples eating pleasure!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well if you are starting now being a vegetarian of course it will be hard!
Because you were better at eating meat! And when you see someone eating meat you'll say in your head: I am soooooooooo hungry for some meat!)Www@FoodAQ@Com

No it's not hard I haven't been tempted once to eat meat since I turned vegetarian!.
I'm vegetarian for animal rights!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is difficult sometimes because of peer pressure!. But i know it for something i love, animals! Www@FoodAQ@Com

it's very hard to be one because you won't eat meat and without meat you don't have enough protein in your body which means less energy!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Too many additives!.!. Just not worth putting your body!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course not!(Unless you count having to eat bananas)Otherwise it is not tough!Www@FoodAQ@Com
