Spider webs in grapes? or mold?!
Every week my dad is getting grapes from our farmers market I think, and there is always like this mold like web in certain parts of it, the grapes tasted good though!. But it still freaks me out, is this a spider's web!? I tried to clean them but still kind of scared to eat them!. Can it be mold or anything else!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is a fungus called "must"!. But the grapes are perfectly fine after being washed off!. It's actually sort of good to have that, since it means the farmer has not used a fungicide on them!. It develops when the weather's been a bit damp, and the grapes grow close together which doesn't allow them to air out!. Wash it off and they're perfectly good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's actually naturally occurring yeast - quite good for you really!. It 'feeds' on the grape sugar through the grape skin!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
