When you 1st turn veggie how hard was it??? it's been a 2wks and its getting harder around the holidays?!
Answers:
I'll admit that when I first went vegetarian it was hard for me!. I was a huge meat eater before going vegetarian, and the only veggies I would eat were corn and carrots!. My favorite dishes all included meat, and it seemed as if every day I was remembering what I couldn't eat anymore!.
All that being said!.!.!. it got a lot easier when I took initiative and started cooking really tasty vegetarian meals!. I got a few cookbooks from the library, modified old recipes, etc, and found some new favorites!. I look back at the way I used to eat and can't believe I ever liked it!. Last Thanksgiving I made a stuffed acorn squash(which was delicious), roasted vegetables, and ate the vegetarian sides!. My meal was filling, and very satisfying(taste wise)!. When there is nothing to miss it gets easier!.
Plan out your holiday meals in advance!. You may want to make them similar to what everyone else is eating!. My first Thanksgiving I ate a Tofurkey, and that way there was no temptation!. I also made some of my own vegetarian sides(potatoes -since my family cooks them with the turkey, mixed vegetables, and gravy)!. At other holidays I make my favorite vegetarian meals, like stuffed peppers!.
This year my sister(who is also vegetarian) wants to just do a Tofurkey(not my idea of a great Thanksgiving meal, but she likes it), together we are making and bringing other vegetarian food for us(and others to share)!. I'm making a spiced pumpkin soup, and mixed winter vegetables(as you probably can tell this is my favorite)!. She is taking care of the Tofurkey, a corn casserole, and cranberries!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's always going to be harder around thanksgiving and christmas, but don't cave!. It gets easier, especially if you can make it through the christmas season!. If you do cave in and decide to eat meat, be careful because you run the risk of getting sick from it!.

It was really easy for me,
I've been vegetarian for three years now (other than a two week period where I was forced to eat fish on holiday as it was all that was served in the restaurants)
I found it so easy because I saw a website explaining and showing pictured of how the animals are forced to live and how they are killed before we eat them,
It put me completely off meat and I had no desire to eat it, the thought of it made me feel ill,
The website is www!.all-creatures!.org/anex
Hope this helps :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
