Cheap healthy foods, but I don't like healthy food?!
I want to eat healthy, but I'm on a tight budget & I'm a really picky eater!.
I think eating veggies other than corn, peas & green beans is torture!. Most fruits hurt my acid reflux!. I stopped eating red meat, soda & candy; I hate fish, nuts, & tofu!. Veggie burgers are bland!. I think buying lots of ingredients is expensive & things like cilantro and lettuce gets wasted b/c I'm only cooking for 1-2!. I want to buy local b/c I love Earth!.
Do I have to force myself to eat cardboard & rabbit food in order to live healthier!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

To keep my food costs on a budget I usually plan out my menu for the week and only buy those ingredients!. It's easy to go to the market and buy too much and then things just spoil!. But if you buy only what you will actually eat and set to a spending limit, you'll be set!. also, I usually make enough to have left overs for lunch or for a dinner a few days into the week since I only cook for 2!.
As for the healthy food, that's a tough one!. Sometimes you just have to open up to trying new things even if you may not like them right away!. Cooking veggies creatively so you're just not eating straight steamed veggies helps!. I have cookbooks and frequent food blogs for ideas and inspiration!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do you like rice!? Even if you think you don't like rice, you might not have had it properly!. The trick is the soy sauce - you need to buy a GOOD soy sauce!. Kikkoman is good!. Store-brands are almost always godawful!. Use sesame oil!. And rice that has been cooked and sat in the fridge for a day makes the best fried rice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would suggest making stir-fry!. I buy frozen stir fry veggies at Costco (very inexpensive when you buy in bulk)!. Cook in a skillet sprayed with vegetable oil, and in 10 minutes you have about 10 different veggies!. Serve over rice with Teriyaki, or sweet and sour sauce, and you're good to go!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
No!. You have to force yourself to LEARN HOW TO COOK ALREADY!. That's the reason all this stuff tastes like cardboard: you don't know how to season or properly cook it!.

I had the same problem as you!. I had to just force myself to eat things and eventually, they weren't so bad anymore!.
Actually for me, the only veggies I liked were corn, peas and green beas also!. I hated brocolli but now I love it!. I buy bags of frozen veggies, or buy fresh vegetables and freeze them!. Then I either microwave or fry them with rice and teriyaki sauce/butter or olive oil!. Sometimes you have to put some other seasonings on them so they taste good!. Mix them with egg or pasta or something so you can't really taste the vegetables much!.
You can also buy frozen meals that are healthy and come with vegetables in the organic/vegetarian/frozen isles in the stores!. Usually they are flavored so you can't even taste the vegetables!. Eventually, you will find that veggies aren't that bad!. The health effects from them will also make you wonder why eating junk food was so important before!.
As for fruits, you can eat bananas and avacados, these aren't very acidic and bananas have lots of nutrients!. You can also dip veggies in peanut butter or some other dip sauce!. I always put peanut butter on baby carrots and apples!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
