Question: Do you feel that you are paying much more attention to your diet now that you are vegan/vegetarian then!.!.!.!?
When you were eating meat!?
Like, so many meat eaters tell me how unhealthy veganism is and how I will get sick and die from it etc!. But I can't help thinking, "Well, I'm eating a lot more fresher foods, HEAPS more fruit and vegetables then I was before and I know you are, what isn't healthy about it!?"
It feels like I dunno, eating ONLY meat or as a main course for most meals is good for you, but eating veggies and fruits most of the time is bad!?

Which made me think, do vegans and vegetarians pay a lot more attention to the food they eat nutritionally!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

No I don't pay more attention!. As long as the meat and dairy is missing and fruit and vegetalbes are added, I'm right!

Even if people ate a little meat, I would always ask them to add fruit and vegetables to their diet!. That's the secret!.

Oh, Ok, I always, when I hungry try to eat fruit first, veggies if no fruit around and something vegan if no veggies around!. Does that help!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

i do pay more attention now, but only because i dont want to put anything that comes from an animal in my mouth!.
if i had the time to get a seperate fridge, and put all vegan food in it, then nah not at all!.
but i think ill always be consious about my food!.!.!.!.until i only eat raw vegetables hahaWww@FoodAQ@Com

i have been vegan for 20 years!. at first i had to watch to make sure there was no meat bi-products in the food!. but iwill have to ask you this (how overweightand unhealthy are your meat eating friends especially the fast fooders)!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Right they don't think about what they are eating!. That ok its flesh, not a big deal to them but that in contains so much bad things like a lot of cholesterol not to mention hormones and antibiotics that the meat farms use on them!.

I am vegan (almost 4 months) and have been vegetarian for 7 yrs before!. I can tell you about how many grams of protein is in each thing I eat, what the main vitamin in it is!. How much calcium is in!.
Meat eaters don't feel they need to do that b/c they just eat and think that meat will give them all they need, and that having a simple side dish of veggies is sufficient!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes! Yes! YES! :) After I gave-up my meat-eating ways I felt sooo much healthier! Instead of greasy, fatty meat I was eating much more lean protein (soy products etc!.) and just in general- more healthy than before!. I even lost weight!

I also felt so empowered that I had enough self-control and integrity not to eat meat, after years of consumption!. :)

Pshhhtt!. The people that tell me how unhealthy and "unnatural" it is to not eat meat!? The way I see it is that they are at least to some degree jealous of me!. They don't have enough self-control to stop feasting on poor dead critters and they want to desperately justify thier clearly cruel ways!.
They know it's mean what they're doing and so they feel that if they put me down then they can feel less guilty about what they're doing!. Whaaaaatever, right!? :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
