Is stuffing vegetarian? Help!?!
So I am going to my aunt's house for thanksgiving and obviously I won't eat turkey or gravy!. But usually is stuffing made with turkey stock or something like that!? Should I just ask (or is that rude!?) What else to I have to watch out for at thanks giving that is "secretly non-vegetarian" ie: like has gelatin or something!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Actually, I made a stuffing today that was vegan!. I would ask before you eat something!. I always ask if I'm not sure!. It's not rude at all!. For my stuffing I had to watch for the stuffing ingredients on the bag I got!. Obviously the veggies I used are fine!. I put in a vegetable broth!. I didn't use any butter for the veggies!. I was going to make a dish with marshmallows but marshmallows have gelatin in them!. So does jello!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I'm not a cook, but isn't stuffing put inside the bird while it cooks!? If that is the case i would say certainly not as the juices and blood from the turkey will be absorbed by the stuffing!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Stuffing by definition is not vegetarian as it is the dressing that has been cooked inside the bird normal with a broth!. Dressing however may be vegetarian provided they didn't use a broth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's made with turkey or chicken stock if they're meat eaters!.
Vegetarians would use vegetable stock!.
You should ask her how she made the stuffing!.
That's not rude!.
But, she'll use a meat stock ( no doubt)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah it is!. Its bread, and seasonings!. Unless she uses turkey broth with it, then yes; it qualifies as vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
why cant you just eat it if you like it and hush about itWww@FoodAQ@Com
