How do I know the difference between cheese made with rennet and cheese not made with it?!


Question: How do I know the difference between cheese made with rennet and cheese not made with it!?
I am a vegetarian!. How can I be sure to only eat cheese made with artificialIy produced or vegetarian enzymes and not cheese made with animal stomachs (rennet)!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you shop at Wal-Mart and do eat products containing dairy!.!.!.Cabot's cheese is a great choice!.

None of Cabot's cheese contains animal rennet and their FAQ page under "Cabot Products and Your Diet" will confirm that!.

If you don't eat/drink dairy products then you also have to be careful to look for "casein" which is a milk derivative!. It is a protein which is the ingredient that enables soy cheese to melt like regular cheese!.
