Are all vegans and vegetarians against hunting ?!

I would rather see people hunt and track their own food than see people buy it at a grocery store where the meat comes from the slaughter industry!.

Well, you loving the taste of venison is individual to you, and is your own habit and preference, nothing more!. There are other meat eaters that don't like venison, and don't support hunting, so I don't think that is much of an argument in and of itself!.

Teaching your son about killing and shooting others, unless absolutely necessary for survival (which the majority of hunting isn't) I'm not sure is much of a pastime!. The exact same benefits of spending quality time with your son could be derived by carrying a camera or binoculars in the woods, and observing the behaviour of these animals, instead of carrying a gun and shooting them!. I don't agree that hunting is necessary to teach moral values and respect for wildlife, or to facilitate family bonding!. There are much better and more humane ways of teaching these things!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I was a vegetarian for 20 years and was against hunting, I'm not a vegetarian now and am still against hunting!. But as I'm British our hunting is different!. I hate fox hunting, but have no problem with hunting for food!. Any time a Dad spends quality time with his son is a wonderful thing, and increasingly rare in todays society!. I don't think what you are doing is wrong, but my 20 year old self would probably have ranted and called you a murderer!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Go out there and hunt without fancy camo, rifles, tree stands, scent removers, binoculars, sights etc and take your rock and spear instead, and then we can talk!. Hunting way back in the beginning of time for survival was one thing, but hunting now (where the animal has no chance against technology and its not survival of the fittest anymore), is hunting for sport and that's wrong!. I guess hunting people for sport should be allowed too then!. It would be more fair!. At least people know what a gun is and know there might be people in tree stands hiding!. I am twelve and a vegetarian and all of my life I've been opposed to hunting!. That deer that you have just slaughtered may have young, who would starve, and do you ever consider the emotional pain of the other deer, its young or mate!? I guess you don't!. Some get more upset about it than others, like I remember some animal rights guy on this website said that hunters should be put into a cage without a gun and see if we can still take on the tiger!. Now I'm sure not all of them are like that, but some of them are kind of nuts!.
