Vegetarians can you answer this?!
If so many vegetarians are aginst meat in general because they say we can live without it!.!.!.!.would these same people choose to live in mud huts with no electricity, no planes and no cars (which all are killing the planet) as we dont need these things for survival, if you wouldnt give up these things dont you think its hypocritical to slam the idea of eating meat when we dont have to as you yourself are killing the planet when there are so many alternatives around!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are 2 dfifferent issues!. Not eating meat is a choice to respect animals lives and the planet as well!. Human live in the prehistoric times as Fruitarian eating fruits & leaves for million years!. Ice age is what had force humanity to switch to a omnivore diet as fruits & leaves were not available at that time!. Evolution of out technology and the damages that it is causing to our planet has nothing to do with somebody being a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well!. I live in an area that gets really cold in the winter!. There is alternatives to oil heat!.!.!. wood burning stove!. but that is harmful to the environment as well!. So I can't live in a mud hut because there is no alternative at the moment!. (where as i can eat veggies instead of meat!.)
and planes are a good form of mass transportation!. it'd be better if we used alternative fueling, but at the moment that is not an option!. I'd do more harm driving there (either wasting electricity in my car, or fuel!.)
and cars, yes my next car will be a hybrid b/c it uses electricity which at the moment is better than polluting the air!.
I really want one that is a hydrocar!. That would be perfect!. No harmful chemicals and reusable!.
I would much rather get a horse drawn carriage!. I do think that is better!. As long as the animals would be properly cared for!.

I'm a vegetarian and quite frankly, it was my decision to become one!.
I don't mind the fact that my fiance eats meat!. It's the individuals decision to choose if they eat meat, or if they don't!.
Being a vegetarian isn't about saving the planet, it's about trying to prevent more animals being killed!.

no, thats ridiculous!. So many animals are hurt and tortured and put in so much pain just to make a meal, and that's why I, and i'm sure a lot of other vegetarians, choose not to eat meat!. That being said, it doesn't hurt an animal to make a plane or car, and that's why I think it's fine to use cars and houses and all that stuff!. For meat, animals are purposefully killed to be eaten!. I was a vegetarian for a while and i was for the simple fact i did not like the way the animals were treated and killed!.
& i personally don't believe in the whole global warming thing, if you think back to when dinosaurs were about, the earth was warm and almost tropical then came the ice age when everything was cold and frozen over, then everything heated up again and the ice melted, the earth goes through cycles and i believe this is just another one of its natural cycles!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No we do not need electricity and all that to live but we do need it to function in our society!.we do not need to eat meat to do that however!. While I don't live in a mud hut i do my part for the enviornment!. I walk to and from school instead of having my mom drive me, and i walk or bike to any place i need to get that is within about 10 miles!. I recycle and try to conserve electricity!. And most of all I do not eat meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I know where you are coming from but everybody is different!. I do not drive, nor do I intend to learn, I walk everywhere!. I have a computer (as I need it for work) but no TV or Radio!. I am a minimalist and do not buy unnecessary equipment (such as kettles and microwaves)!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Im a vegetarian because its not right what they do to animals and if were a animal i wouldn't want that! i understand if your poor or if you stranded on an island or you know something like that! I don't think vegetarians 'reason' for not eating meat is that they don't have to!. They have other 'reasons' for not eating meat and the fact we do not have to eat meat makes it easier to do!.
