What is the vegetable that looks like a carrot, but totally white and a bit bigger?!
I got this in my greenbag for the week, have no idea what to do with it!.

They are definitely parsnips, NOT daikon radishes!. Daikons have a much smoother skin!. Parsnips are NOT also known as rutabagas!. Rutabaga is the American word for swede!.
Parsnips taste great, cut lengthwise into strips and then fried and salted!. You can also roast them in the oven with potato and pumpkin and swede slices!. You can slice them like carrots and add them to soup or make a curry with them!.
They're usually twice as expensive as carrots!. Unlike carrots, they don't so good when eaten raw!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

this is definately a parsnip!. Roasted (like a potato) it's delicious!. You can make a lovely soup, with a little curry powder added!. It's slightly sweet (like a carrot) in fact parsnip and carrot roasted together is lovely with sunday roast!

Parsnip!.they are quite sweet!.my gran peels them,slices in half length ways!.boils untill soft then roasts in the oven!.she uSually puts them on a roast dinner!.i dont like the thick bit,much prefer the thin bit at the end!.dont ask why lolWww@FoodAQ@Com
