Question: An alternative to vegetatrian suet!?
I live in France and can't get hold of veg suet to make a christmas pudding!. I can possibly get beef suet from the butchers, but would prefer the veg alternative - any ideas!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try flora white!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

vegetarian suet is usually made from palm oil and rice flour!.
You need the low melting point of the palm oil!.
Palm oil( huile de palme) can be found in magreb stores or use graisse de coco (near the butter in the cooler section) or vegetaline
Mix a little rice flour in the end product because its fatter, if you use it for mince meat leave the flour out, just add a few more dried fruitsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Chill some fresh butter and grate it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
