Answers:
vegetarian sushi
-rice usuallytakes 15-20mins depending on the amount you using
-rolling the sushi takes 5 mins each depending on the amount of filling and your level
-slicing and arranging takes 10mins depending how you want to garnish it and present it

boil the rice til its tender and still not raw

its consistency looks mushy but dont worry once it starts to cool a bit it will set!.wen its cooling keep stiring one direction adding the vinegar, sugar and salt!.then put it aside for it to cool down!.

getting a bambo sushi mat, lay the nori sheet on

get a spoon and sccop rice on the nori, spreading it evenly right to the edges and corners!. make sure you its even on the edges otherwise you will hve weak ends once its rolled!.

place strips of your chosen ingredients horizontally about an inch away from you

taking thumb under the bamboo mat along the nori, lift and push forward the mat towards the filling!. im sure you can search up how to roll sushi :D

once its done, it should be one long sausage roll!.the rice will stick to the nori to seal it!.if not u can use a little water!.

the ends of the roll may vary depending whether if you had evenly spreaded the rice at the end!. if it is even then you wont have a flimsy end!.

anyways once you done roll sushi rolls, get a hot moistured knife and slice directly down on the chopping board to sushi sizes

then just arrange the sushi sizes with the filling facing up

well i have been a vegetarian for 6 years i started when i was in 5th grade and now i am in 10th and no one else was either in my family the best thing is to get fake meat which you can buy pretty much anywhere now like the big targets or trader joes and then just have whoever is cooking make what you usually make but make yours with the fake meat
i do this all the time with my family and there are also TONS of recipe books you can get for vegetarians
hope that helped
GOOD LUCK!

I became a vegetarian junior year of high school, so i had a similar situation!. Stock up on fake meat- it's easy, fast and high in protein (don't live on this stuff alone though-its got lots of sodium and junk)!. Morningstar farms is great- chik patties, black bean burgers, soy sausage- just use these to substitute for the main meat course!. The "crumbles" are great in pasta sauce!. Quorn "cutlets" and "pieces" are also great and cook just like chicken- you can marinade, bread them, fry, bake, make "chicken parm", throw into salads, fajitas, pasta, anything! My mom used to treat a cutlet with whatever she was using for the chicken, and it came out great!. Amy's brand makes great frozen veggie stuff and canned soups and all there stuff is organic!.
Vegetarian chili is one of my favorites!. Check www!.allrecipes!.com or www!.epicurious!.com- you'll quickly build a collection of fave recipes!. Chili is easy to make and if you make extras you can eat it all week with baked potatoes, rice, corn bread, tortilla chips etc!. Your family will probably not even miss the meat!. Baked potatoes are easy if your parents happen to make them for dinner, throw some cheese and broccoli on one and you have a yummy dinner (with salad/ fake chicken)!. I also like frittatas- they're pretty easy to make and with soup/salad make a great lunch or dinner!. I would suggest making a decent amount of something once or twice a week and saving it for lunches/dinners!. Try stews and soups- you can also freeze these!. If all else fails, dress up a frozen veggie burger (Amy's California style are my fave) with grilled onions, peppers, avocado, cheese!.!.!.yum!. Good luck!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

pizza its normal food i get the vegetarian they have it everywhere you can get the stuff to make it or you can get it in the freezer or buy it at pizza hut good luck I was 14 when i started i know how hard it is!. you can eat alot of the same stuff just with out meat!. (pizza is just my Fav!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Only eating salad is not healthy at all for a 14 year old who is growing!. It's good that you are asking because you really need more than just salads!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
