Question: I have a question for vegetarians, Please answer!?
I was wondering what do you vegetarians eat on Thanksgiving, please explain your yearly meal for me!.
Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
There are plenty of things for vegetarians to eat on Thanksgiving!. They have recipes floating around for 'mashed cauliflower' instead of mashed potatoes; i have never tried this, but it could be good!. Sauteed green beans instead of green bean casserole, rolls can stay the same, corn, cabbage rolls filled with meat-free stuffing or stuffing stuffed peppers, and even cranberry sauce!. Many things on Thanksgiving remain nuetral!. :]Www@FoodAQ@Com

I can't speak for 'all'!. I can tell you that I made angel hair pasta with artichokes, black olives, and capers (one of my favorite dishes) with a salad!.

Since I was also invited to 3 other places, when I went there just ate what I normally would!.

Thanksgiving is an American holiday to celebrate getting through the first year in the 'new land'!. A time to give thanks for making it through a year, but also for the help from friends that made it possible!. To show thanks for the bounty that they had the previous year be it for health, food, the ability to make it through the harsh winter to the harvest of the crops planted!.

So while many do indeed eat certain foods at that time of year, that wasn't why it was originally done!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I eat what I normally eat!. I think the only time I eat anything vaguely special at any time during the year is (eggless) pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, if I remember to (that's more out of family tradition than any religious connotation, as I'm an atheist), Anzac biscuits on Anzac Day, and maybe (fruit-) mince pies and/or Christmas pudding (also eggless) at Yuletide family gatherings!. Thanksgiving is a completely unknown quantity to Australians, but I suppose it will creep slowly in, like Halloween is doing, through Americanisation of the media!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I eat everything but the turkey!. My family and I cook so much food, and we have so many side dishes that I don't feel like I'm missing out!. My family's nice enough to leave meat stock out of everything they cook, or make me a small separate dish, so I still have stuffing, potatoes, green beans, and all the other usuals!. I've thought about making a main vegetarian dish like a pumpkin stuffed with roasted vegetables, but I get so much food anyway that it seems like wasted effort!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I ate some YUMMY squash crescent rolls!. But that's not all!. I usually snack on the mashed potatoes ( I'm not vegan, by the way) and I eat some stuffing and gravy!. So basically everything but the turkey!. Some vegetarians eat meat like once a moth though, so my friend had turkey and all the fixings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make a tofu "roast" stuffed with vegan stuffing!. It's seasoned with sesame seed oil, soy sauce, sage, rosemary!.!.!. I also make vegan mushroom gravy and then we have all of the other normal Thanksgiving stuff- mashed potatoes (made with soymilk and vegan butter), cranberries, rolls, etc!.

I have brought my tofu roast along with us to non-vegetarian Thanksgiving dinners!. All of the meat eaters who have ever tried it loved it!. It's really very god!. My little girls can't get enough of it!.

Happy Thanksgiving!Www@FoodAQ@Com

This one's easy! Tofurky Roast and Gravy!. Big green box, $9!.99 at Trader Joe's, double that at your typical Whole Foods-ish "natural" supermarket!. Homemade mashed taters, pumpkin pie from scratch, Mom's "Stuffing" - plenty to go around!Www@FoodAQ@Com

i eat everything but the turkey!.and instead of using chicken or beef stock to cook u can use veggie stock!.i had sweet potato souffle, potato salad, rolls, green bean cassorole, cranberry sauceWww@FoodAQ@Com

We eat everything you would eat except for the Turkey!. We may do a nut roast or a lasagna or quiche but no need as usually there is plenty of food Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarians are always vegetarians!.
They will take veggie all the times regardless of Thanksgiving day or any festivals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cooked broccoli,mac and cheese,mashed potatoes,sweet potatoes, and berry pie!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

everything except the turkey!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
