I want to become a vegetarian..please help!!?!
i have my reasons!.!.!.one reason is because meat stinks when you open it!.!.!.and i hate the way the animals are being killed!. they ring chickens neck!.!.!.like omg!.!.!.and i think the steroids that they put in the food is the reason the rate of cancer is getting higher and higher!.!.!.well anyway as i have these reason!.!.!.i have these negative thoughts in my head saying i cant do it!.!.!.!.like people are going to wave the meat in my face more and more and that my family will always talk about me!.!.well i dont have much more time in this house cause i'm 17 but anyway any tips,recipes i could use that could help me DELETE MEAT out of my life!.!.please!.!.!.and thank you!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

you will eventually (maybe after 2 weeks) be on the perfect track to a vegetarian diet!. you'll know what foods contain meat and what easy foods don't!.

I think the best you can do is get veggie burgers!. preferrably morningstar farms, they make such a variety!. they are delicious!. they are easy to cook, you can microwave them or cook them on the stove!. i used to eat them at almost every meal!.
veggie stirfry is a good easy food to make!. i reccomend rice noodles (they taste better!) and soy sauce!. then add in any veggies you want, broccoli, onions, mushrooms, red peppers!.!.!. and if you want tofu (put this in with the soy sauce and other veggies before the noodles (so they taste like the veggies and sauce rather than noodles) )
and just type in 'vegetarian recipes' in google!. you'll get good recipes!.
as a vegetarian watch out for gelatin (in yogurt, skittles, poptart frosting, marshmallows and other gooey things) its made from animal bones!. (Fluff is vegetarian b/c it doesn't have the casing around them!.)
rennet/casein - in cheeses!. comes from pigs!? (idk i never knew abotu that one)
and taurine!. its in energy drinks, i think its from bile!?!? it is animal source!.!. you may consider this a by product but the animal did die for them to get it !. -red bull has plant source taurine!.
(gelatin and rennet isn't a by product b!.c it comes straight from the animals dead bodies)

This is something you have to decide that you want to do for yourself and not for anyone else!. Not all animals are killed in a horrific way!. Most are killed very quickly, there are also plenty of meat packing plants that have gone organic, using no chemicals or hormones in their meats!. Do some research on the issue!. It is easy to say that you want to become a vegetarian, but so easy to do it!. If you do decide to go ahead with it, check with a dietitian or nutritionist they can help set up a proper menu to make sure you are eating vegetarian but still eating health!. I have many vegetarian friends, some vegan - the non vegetarians really don't care, we just like meat - to each their own and your friend and family should respect that!. Good LuckWww@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarians always suffer verbal abuse from people who think you are pushing it in their faces just by existing and being vegetarian, no matter what you do!.
To reduce verbal abuse, be the ideal vegetarian! Don't talk about your diet unless somebody asks or needs to know!. Let every host know so that they don't feel bad that you aren't eating their food at parties/weddings/formals/et!. And when somebody asks you why you are a vegetarian, simply say "It is a personal choice" unless they specifically ask for more details!.
As for how to be a vegetarian, it's quite easy - eat delicious food that doesn't contain products from dead animals!
Now, how to be a healthy vegetarian - please watch your iron and B12 levels!. Make sure you are getting enough of those!. Don't let people trick you into thinking you need lots of protein - you don't unless you're a super athelete, and even then, you can just eat protein-rich vegetarian foods like tofu and beans!.
Some of my favourite healthy vegetarian recipes are fried rice, bean soup, vegetarian chili!. Pasta with homemade tomato sauce is also delicious!. If you eat cheese, a bit of parmesan cheese on top of that pasta makes it amazing!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am not a vegetarian but you shouldn't care what others think of you!. There is nothing wrong with going vegetarian, Tofu can be substituted for meat!. Check the web and search for Tofu recipes, Don't overemphasize your distaste of meat or they will tease you more!. If you stand strong on your beliefs, soon others will get tired of trying to shove meat in your face!. Your own willpower will determine whether you can really stay meat free!. If your parents disapprove, then state your reasons to them!. You are old enough to make this choice!. Have faith in yourself and you can do it! Wish I could do more with recipes but I saw on the Oprah show recently that a chef used tofu like you would use meats!. Dont listen to that vegan spokeman idiot!.!.!.he's crazy and i reported him!. First, you CAN do it, its not hard once you have some options!. The hardest part is learning!. At first it feels like you have nothing to eat!.!.lol!.!.but its not true!. And you really don't have to announce you are quitting eating meat!. I tend not to tell ppl because like another person said on here, they tend to think you are going to try to "convert" them or challenge them for eating meat, which is not the case!. You can just tell them you don't like it anymore, and keep your reasons to yourself if you think your family is going to give you a hard time about it!. The biggest thing is to find yourself alternate sources of protein, which is soy, tofu, beans, and nuts!.
