My favorite hummus recipe is from about!.com:
1 16 oz can of chickpeas or garbanzo beans
1/4 cup liquid from can of chickpeas
3-5 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on taste)
1 1/2 tablespoons tahini
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
It's super easy and soooo good!. A couple of things I do are to add chipotle peppers, add as many as you like depending on how spicy you like it!. An added bonus is adding a few chipotle peppers give the hummus almost a cheezey flavor, which is good for a vegan dish when you are craving cheese!. also, if you like your hummus smooth soak the garbanzo beans in water for about five to ten minutes, then you can easily peel off the outer skin, add to hummus, and you have smooth hummus! Time consuming, but worth it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm also a Hummus'b'Tahini lover!. I can't give you exact measurements, because I variate how much I use!.
Canned or dried Chickpeas!. (Dried Chickpeas need to be soaked overnight, and make sure to wash the canned chickpeas, to get rid of the griming substance that is often on them)!.
Lemon juice!.
Garlic (Be careful not to overdo the garlic!. One or two cloves are often enough)!.
Tahini (I usually use 1 tablespoon per cup of chickpeas)!.
You literally combine everything in a food processor until it's a paste!. If you want, you can add a spice, or seasoning of your choice!.
Oh, and for future reference, "Hummus" is actually Hummus'b'Tahini!.
Hummus means "Chickpeas"!. Hummus'b'Tahini, is literally means Chickpeas & Tahini, but is the word that's used when referring to the dip!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
