All green Vegetables are good for you!. Most Yellow's too, except corn, since it's high in Carbs!. You can also Stirfry them with a little bit of Cooking Spray!.
I've got a Steamer (around $25's), which is 2 tiered!. That means I can put a nice piece of chicken, fish, Seafood ect!.!.!. on the Bottom first for like 10 mins!. then i put the mix Veg (frozen is good too) on top for an additional 10 mins, voila` instant Food, made at home!.
U can use lemon, herbs ect for seasoning!. Avoid Salt since it retains Water in your Body!. Use Pepper instead!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

to parboil a vegetable:
Get a pot of water boiling!. While it's heating up, fill a bowl or another pot with water and ice cubes!. Once the water is boiling, place the vegetables in the water for 1-2 minutes!. Remove them and put them right into the bowl of ice water (this stops the cooking process)!. This can be done with most vegetables, but with potatoes and other root vegetables, they won't be cooked enough to eat!.
It's basically a way to cook them without extra fat that still preserves a lot of the nutrients!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

The question is– why would you!? Vegetables should be steamed whenever possible to avoid boiling out all the nutrients and flavor!. This can be done on the stove or in a microwave!. Southern Americans have a bad habit of boiling everything!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
parboil is just cooking something in a bit of water until crisp and not hard like it was when raw!. Any vegetable can be parboiled!. By just parboiling vegetables instead of fully boiling until they are soft, you maintain much more vitamins!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
