Should we treat all animals the same?!

We should expect *appropriate* behavior according to species & familiarity!. This includes our own human species & in our case it would be nice if we *could* expect that we'll treat each other with respect & compassion!.
If your cat enjoys learning new things & thinks highly of you, it's within possibility that s/he will be able to make a sound *similar* to barking!. The cats we live with have all kinds of interesting vocalizations & "meow" is actually not one of their more comon ones!. We've also had a Maine Coon-Siamese mix who *would* make a soft "barking" sound when he was excited about the birds outside!. I'm sure he wasn't the only cat on the planet to do this either!.
As for the person with the negative comments about rodents, this is a matter of familiarity with the species!. Not all wild rodents carry disease & when they do it's usually the *parasites* on them that are dangerous, as with the Bubonic Plague!. Domestic rats & mice rarely have any illness that humans can catch & can be quite charming little companions!.
IMHO we *should* treat all creatures with compassion, respect & understanding to the best of our abilities!. This doesn't equate to treating them the same-- we don't give nuts to our cats or catnip to our rats when it's treat-time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For your cat to bark, you need to pour petrol all over it and then light a match "Woof!"
And to make your dog meow, cut him in half with a chain saw "MEEOOWWW!"
See if you understand animals like a Vet does, you don't have to sit around all day trying!.
An interesting thing though, is how dogs and cats both think they are people when they live with you!. They in doing so blur their pack animal thoughts with household routines!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It annoys me that a lot people seem to expect so much out of their pets!. In a way, they expect them to be just like humans, and all the while they think they're subordinate to humans!. They're always ready to punish them for something they probably don't even understand!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
no, i don't feel that all animals should be treated the same!. rats and mice carry diseases and should be exterminated!. not wiped off the face of the earth, but if they enter my house they leave in a body bag!. pets are obviously treated as members of the family!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
We should treat others the way they want to be treated, not the way we want to be treated!. This is why there are people who specialize in things like training animals: they have spent time learning how that partciular species thinks and ways to affect its mind!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
No!. Good luck with the cat thing!. You're starting to sound like a troll!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
