Question: Whats the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan!?
just wondering i guessWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
vegetarians, typically lacto-ovo vegetarians!. just do not eat meat, fish, poultry, and stay away from slaughterhouse ingredients, rennet, gelatin, and taurine!. & leather/suede

lacto-vegetarians, abstain from eggs as well as meats and slaughterhouse ingredients & leather/suede

ovo-vegetarians abstain from dairy as well as meats and slaughterhouse ingredients & leather/suede

vegans abstain from dairy and eggs (as well as processed foods made with these) as well as meats and animal products like wool, silk, leather as well as non food items that contain animal products like make up, deoderant, shampoo, and do not use products tested on animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarians don't eat meat, poultry, fish -- but sometimes eat eggs and cheese!. Cheese is actually not typically vegetarian as it has rennet in it!. Milk, vegetarians usually drink/eat!.
But, vegetarians blur some lines and some animal products do make it into their bellies!.

Vegans dont' eat anything that is made from any part of an animal, at all, ever, never, nothing - no dairy, no eggs, nothing made from anything involving the harm of an animal -- so gelatin is not vegan, no brownies with butter or eggs, nothing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I find it amusing that someone with three necks makes jokes about someone eating a healthful diet!. See above!.

A vegetarian eats no meat, but may include eggs and dairy!. A vegan is a strict-vegetarian who also eats no eggs or dairy, and tries to eliminate other animal products wherever practical and possible!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

first let me state that there is no straight deffinition of vegetarian nor vegan anymore lines blur here there and everywhere!.

However!

Vegetarian's do not eat meat!.
then youve got your pollo, pesco people that are hypocrites and eat poultry because chickens and ducks are vegetables these days!.!.!.

vegan doesnt eat meat, dairy or egg!.

And if you follow a vegan lifestyle this includes not eating meat dariy and egg, and not wearing fur or leather!. refusal to pruchase animal tested products!.!.!. Someone who lives a vegan lifestyle will not purchase anything to do with animals!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

vegans do not eat anything that has an ingredient in it from an animal, or anything that was processed using animal parts even if its filtered out before it is packaged!. for example, ppl might thing margarine is vegan, but a lot of brands have whey in it, which is a protein found in cows milk so it is not vegan!.

there are diff types of vegetarians, some eat eggs and dairy, others only eat things like milk and cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
