Ok, am a life-long vegetarian!. So i duno how much I can help you, but I wud try!. Firstly, Many people say that if your vegetarian, you miss a lot of nutrients and all, this is a BIG lie!.!.!.!.Vegetarians can consume equal amount of nutrients as well!.

Now there are 2 ways to go with this, and it totally depends on you, what choice you take, 1!. You can cut-off meal from ur diet at once!.!.!.!.!.!.I wud say dont do this unless your a really mentally strong person since this is harder to do And the craving may make u go back to meat!.
2 !. Like the guy above me said, leave off 1 type of meat or 2 types of meat per week!. Remember, that its all about fighting your tingling taste-buds in the begining!. In the begining , you wud just have to ignore your craving for meat, which will be sudden and powerful i am guessing!. You wud just have to ignore them!. Over a period of time , you will develop a taste for vegetarian food!.

To help you in the process, I think there are some products in the market that taste and feel like meat but aint actually meat!.!.!.I duno what they are called, i have only hrd of them!.!.!.!.!.and i dont know if they are safe to eat or not!.!.!.!.!.!.Dnt wry, vegetarianism is not all about eating bland vegetables, there are several dishes with delicious tastes that can be prepared from vegetables!. If you liek Indian food, apart from chicken curries etc , they also have a large menu of vegetarianism food ( actually indian food was originally purely vegetarian) , you cud try that out too, if you find a craving for meat etc coz i have tried that , and its DELICIOUS!

Well, I am not the type of person whos judgemental!. I dont really care whether your a vegetarian or not, I think its a PERSONAL choice!.!.!.!.You are accusing vegetarians of influencing her by all the 'non-veg people are barbarians' bull ****, but you are also trying to influence her by the 'man has been eating meat for millions of year' crap!

LOOK HERE! Man had also been running around naked in forests for a million years, or trying to kill the other tribes, or abducting woman and treating them s slaves! Since these practices had also gone on for a million years, I assume according to you, these also are ok!?! What about war, man has always fought with each other, that STILL doesnt make war right , does it!

I dont believe in non-vegs are barbarians crap, but if your logic holds and man wud do everything that it did million years ago, we wud be living in an exact barbaric society of which you said non-veg people werent a part!

At the end of the day, Its her personal choice!. Being vegetarian doesnt make you anaemic , if you eat intelligently ( just like non-veg people wud turn into a ton of lard if they LOTS of meat and only meat)!.

Thank you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

How do I become a vegetarian!?

There are several ways to make the change!. Do whatever feels more comfortable for you!. Like other types of cooking, vegetarianism can be simple or complicated, expensive or inexpensive, and use foods that can only be bought in a natural foods store or your local supermarket!.

There are a lot of common recipes that are easily made veggie/vegan, or already are - spaghetti and other pasta dishes, burritos, tacos, tostadas, mashed potatoes, three bean salad, pancakes, French toast, waffles, grilled cheese sandwiches, hummus, grilled veggies, oven-roasted veggies, rice, etc!. The other way would be to start exploring other cuisines or methods of cooking (go for Thai, Indian, Chinese, etc!.) that exclude meat in the dishes to begin with!. Some people like to try both approaches!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

since you eat it daily, just gradually cut it out!. start by only eating meat foods that you really enjoy (I mean REALLY enjoy), and only have them occasionally(depending on how many, you may en up having meat only once per week)!.

If you are adding meat to sandwiches, pizza, etc!.!.!. just don't get it on it!. Try to eat alot of fruits and vegetables to fill you up( especially the fruits because they are sweet), yogurt, cheeses, milks, whole grain pastas and breads!.

If you wanted to, you could also try the Boca or Morningstar brand soy "meats" they are very tasty!.
You will find yourself not missing meat one bit!.
Good Luck on going veggie!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

There is nothing wrong with eating meat!. Man has been eating meat for millions of years, you can talk about healthy benefits of cutting out meat, but then you have to take into consideration the health risks of vegetarianism such as anemia, which can cause heart disease just like eating too much saturated fat from meat can!. Don't let people on here guilt you into thinking that non vegetarians are these less evolved barbarians-the veg's are just cranky b/c they're hungry!.

A recent study showed that children who ate meat developed more muscle mass and scored higher on mental testing than children who did not eat meat!.
