Can I add protein powder to hot foods?!
I recently bought a can of Whey & Soy Protein powder to add to some smoothies (yummy!) to get enough protein!. Does anyone know if I can add it to scrambled eggs or pasta sauces, or is heat bad for it!? On the side of the can, it said I can add it to cereal and oatmeal (and oatmeal is normally served hot)!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:

That vegetarians and vegans don't get enough protein is a myth! Especially if you're eating eggs, still!. Eggs, cheese, and milk are cholk-full of protein, more than enough!. Have you ever heard of someone having a protein deficiency!? :)
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, 'protein is so abundant in the foods Americans eat, that most of us, children and adults alike, consume more than we need!.'
Here's a few things full of protein:
Milk
Soy Milk
Eggs
Cheese
Yogurt
Peanut Butter
Beans, Tofu, Lentils, and other Legumes
Grains, including bread and pasta
Nuts and Seeds
No need to keep tossing your money away on products to up your protein, you're almost certainly getting enough already!Www@FoodAQ@Com
