I would suggest ordering the free starter guides from the following 2 sites!. I think the most important step to take is to make a pledge to do it for 30 days, there's a link for that too!. I went vegan after watching the videos on the second site!.!.!.it was much easier than I thought it would be!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Fortunately there is a wide-variety of information available to you online!. If I could give one recommendation it would be a purchase of the book "Healing With Whole Foods" by Paul Pitchford (or even check your local library to see if they carry it)!. It contains a wealth of information regarding nutrition and what foods benefit what parts of the body!. It's a book that might be beyond the scope of what you're looking for, but will always come in handy as a reference!.
Another tip, is to start by learning to make one main course that is balanced!. By balanced I mean that it contains your carb's, protein, healthy fat, and vegetables!.
As far as recipes; one of my favorite authors is Lorna Sass (again check your library)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

First, ask your mom to cook vegetarian food!. Second, don't drink soymilk or eat tofu, because unfermented soy product inhibits mineral absorption!. To know more, please read Daniel Kaayla's "The Whole Soy Story!." But tempeh (fermented) is a good souce of protein!. And don't stop eating organic, free-range eggs!. They are very nutritious!. Organic milk would be better!. Eating lots of leafy greens is very healthy!. Potatoes are very delicious, too!Www@FoodAQ@Com
congrats ! very happy 4 u !. it might be easier to gradually take out animal products and replace them with vegan products instead of going "cold turkey " haha but if u can do that then great ! be open to trying new fruits and vegetables at all times these are your best friend !. almost anything non vegan recipe can be modified to be vegan !. theres egg replacer tofu soymilk etc!. go to a health food store in your area and just looking around you will have so many good ideas good luck :) its great to see a younger person taking care of their health and environment , animals !Www@FoodAQ@Com
