Would a breast fed baby be vegan?!

Question: Would a breast fed baby be vegan!?
And the mother is also a vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes!. Breast milk is produced specifically for an infant, thus fits within the vegan lifestyle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not necessarily!. The baby is taking in what the mother eats while nursing!. The baby will like some of the foods that the mother eats regularly!. That's just a normal part of life!. But when the child grows up and sees what others are eating at school, or on t!.v!., the child might choose a different kind of diet!. But most times our children follow in our footsteps!. The best things is to give the child a choice, for as long as it is a healthy one, there's nothing wrong with being a Vegan or not!. It's just a little harder!. Eventually our children will have to decide what to eat or not to eat!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Technically the baby is lacto-vegetarian like all mammal babies!. Breast feeding fits with the vegan lifestyle, atleast until the baby starts to teeth :-)

I'm an ovo-vegetarian and have this debate with my vegan roommate from time to time!. :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

The baby is being raised as or is being made to follow a vegan diet and that's it!.

I thought to say "I am a vegan" means you have consciously made the decision yourself!. A baby cannot make such decisions!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Didn't get the right answers in Newborn/Baby section!?

My son is breastfed and offered vegan foods, he is a vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
