Answers:
No matter what, you gotta have garlic!

For an earthy Italian style, try some fresh thyme and just a little rosemary (dried is ok too)!. At the very end of cooking, stir in some chopped Italian flat leaf parsley!. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil when serving!.

If you wanted to go a spicy route, you could could add your favorite curry spices or curry powder, some fresh corriander and garlic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Beans are bland aren't they!?

For butter beans ( now seemingly fashionable after about 60 years I'm pleased to hear!) a little fresh basil would be good I think!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am thinking you should add cauliflower, cumin, garlic & onion!. Spice it up with a little cayenne!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Smoked ham hocks is the best flavoring!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
